According to nhtsa campaign id number: 06v417000 and gm recall no. 06102 my vehicle should be included in this recall. when i tried calling the number listed 1-877-477-1022 it is a non working number. when i contacted chevy customer service the person i spoke with was rather rude and not helpful. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 chevrolet trailblazer. the contact stated that the electrical system failed at least three times in the front passenger seat. repairs were made under warranty; however, the last failure was the contact's liability. on a separate occasion, she heard a loud noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. the manufacturer stated that there was a pinched wire issue with that particular year, make, and model vehicle that could affect other electrical components. the dealer made repairs, but the failure recurred within 48 hours. the dealer found wiring in a different area that failed and subsequently caused the failure of the front passenger seat. in addition, the exterior lights flickered intermittently, but the mechanic stated that the wiring would not cause that particular failure. the vin was provided, but was not accepted by the system. the current and failure mileages were less than 43,000.

Bought vehicle 8/10/05. fifteen months later on 1/29/07, i had to replace the front seat adjuster actuator assembly on the driver side. the safety hazard is that i had to drive 3 weeks with pillows propped behind me & using my tip-toes on the gas and brake peddles until the part was replaced. the seat stopped working a few months ago and it took a week to get an appointment at the dealer. that week i had to drive with pillows propped behind me & using my tip-toes on the gas and brake peddles on the interstate to get to work. when they finally got it in the shop, there was nothing wrong with it. this morning getting ready to go to work, my seat did not work again. i drove to work using tip-toes and pillows. when i was leaving work, the seat worked. having to rely on pillows and tip-toes because of an unreliable driver side front seat adjuster actuator assembly is an extreme safety hazard to myself and everyone around me. *tr

While driving the 2005 chevy trailblazer, my wife smelled smoke. she pulled into a parking lot and opened the door - and the driver's seat proceeded to billow smoke. the police and fire departments responded - the seat was ripped out of the vehicle and the vehicle and seat were extinguished with foam - the vehicle had a powered driver's seat but not heated seats. the vehicle is currently in an auto body shop. *tr

New 2005 chevy trailblazer. the selt belt is built into the seat itself. when putting on the seat belt, it crosses over my neck and across the throat. twice the seat belt has locked when over the neck and throat about choked me. the dealer, the service manager all agree that this is a safety issue, as the seat belt laying over my neck could in an accident break it. called gm does not have any resoltion to the issue or offered any options. the dealer is trying to work this out and not getting any help from gm. both the dealer and myself are getting the run around on this. due to the safety issue with the seat belt i am concerned about driving the car. i am not sure what to do, gm or chevy is not taking the dealer or myself that this is a serious safety issue. been going on for over 3 weeks, without help. no one wants to take responsibility or provide help.

The transmission shifted hard from first to second gear. *nm the transmission shifted so hard that it almost jerked the steering wheel out of the consumers hands. the second concern was when the consumer had to place the rear seat down to place items in the back , it required that the front seat be moved forward and would not go all the way back again. the last concern was that the vehicle could not use tire chains due to the fact that there wasn't enough clearance and the consumer was informed to use another traction device. *sc
