Within the past 6 months, various electrical and fuel problems have emerged: the fuel gauge no longer functions at all (it always shows empty); the a/c works intermittently; the rear a/c and heater do not function regularly; the service engine light is always lit; odd and random issues with the stereo system occur (stations & settings randomly changing on their own, powering on/off by itself, not powering on/off as it should, & only one speaker is working at the moment); the key not releasing from the ignition; engine not turning over to start; battery dying without reason; power steering failure; alt. gauge dropping; reduced engine power while on the highway (suddenly limiting speed to 20 mph or less); rear wiper turning on by itself; power seat malfunctioning; rough engine idle; entire instrument panel lighting up; running out of fuel while the gauge indicates that there is ample fuel in the tank; brake lamps not functioning; reduced gas mileage. on 02/25/2013, the controls on the driver's side doors stopped working; the windows will not operate or lock/unlock, the exterior mirrors will not adjust, and the locking mechanism will not work. i have brought the vehicle to the dealership for diagnostic testing at least a half dozen times, and each time no problems were detected, no explanations given, and no remedies suggested! from what i've gathered, there were recalls issued for electrical/wiring problems as well as fuel gauge problems, yet i have never received notice of any such recalls from gm! *tr

Pushed to put passenger window down and would not go up, stuck open. evidently the window regulator broke at a part cost of about 300.00. just had in for a blower problem where the blower came on while the car was just sitting in the garage with no keys or anyone in it. that was 400.00 some dollars. this car does not seem like it should be having these problems. *tr

Driver's door module shorted out and produced a smokey smell.

The windows on my 2007 trailblazer ss are constantly (nearly daily) getting stuck in the down or up position and do not respond to the switches. the vehicle must be turned off and on several times for the computer to make the windows work again. i've been caught passing through heavy rains on the highway with windows that won't roll up without the opportunity to safely pull over and turn the vehicle on and off a dozen times to make the windows temporarily work again. it also affects the door locks from completely locking leaving my vehicle vulnerable to theft.

Some of the items forthcoming happen all together and/or intermittently separate. the initial issues noticeably started upon my arrive in south carolina, but it was not something that immediately recognized before my relocation, because i thought it was something i did myself. i came out to my car on saturday, 6/16/12. my car window was down and some items were stolen. i did not see any glass on the ground so i thought i left the window down myself and someone just stolen items. after speaking with the complex security and reporting the incident to hoa, i came out the truck again it smelled of wires burning and the window was down again. several days later the tire pressure light was on and took the truck to get the wheels balanced and oil change at firestone. the tire pressure light would not go out, nor did the engine and oil light go out. a few months after that the smell of wires burning happened again and the engine remained on for over 2 weeks, then went off. in the late fall there was a really bad thunderstorm and when arrived to truck after work; running in rain, i saw that my window was down and i could not get the window back up for about 5 minutes. i was soaked and so was the car. the truck received an oil change recently and all the lights would not go out and the walmart mechanic who did the oil change stated that he smelled gas and some wires burning, lights on panel would not go out. smell of wires burning. engine light comes on and stays on for days-then goes off by itself. all lights emergency lights on panel intermittently on (oil/traction/tire pressure). fuel gauge shows/clicks as full, smells like gas in truck and runs out of fuel with gauge showing full. driver's window goes down when keys are not in truck. heating knob on off, still blowing hot or cold air and gauge does not turn on past 2. lights dim when using power button for windows. *tr

I purchased my 2007 chevrolet trailblazer ls in may 2009. i initially noticed that the windows moved slowly and would moan when going up and down as well as the lights dimming simultaneously. i took it in on multiple occasions to accredited chevy dealerships and they said nothing was wrong and it might be your battery. my driver side window occasionally would not respond and 10-20 minutes later would be active again. finally this year october 2012 all functionality was lost from the driver side door. my driver door module burnt out and needs to be replaced. since then i have been driving around with no operating ddm which in return affects locks, lighting, windows, mirrors etc. this is very inconvenient and i would like some answers. i don't want to have to purchase a new ddm at $500 and have it burn out again or cause a fire in some cases. *tr

Came out of work 11:30 pm to find the drivers door window down on a rainy night. as i got close i could smell the elec./plastic fire smoke smell. my seat and floor were soaked from the rain. i could not put the window up and had to drive home wet. i had the dealer where i bought it check it out and was told the door module had melted from fire from a shot and was lucky the car did not burn. i have called chevrolet assistance center about 5 times and was told i have to wate parts are not available.

Drivers side window and lock control panel does not work. control panel for side mirrors does work. i cannot lock my doors from the drivers side or roll up/down any windows in my vehicle from the drivers side .. the passenger side window and lock control panel works, rear drivers side window control panel works, and rear passenger side window control panel works. i have had the fuses checked and they are all fine. i have a child and liked to keep my back windows locked for the safety of my child, now that my control panel does not work i cannot lock my windows when needed for the safety of my child. i do not have any control over the locks or windows from the drivers door. my keyless entry will unlock all passenger doors and rear hatch, but i have to manually lock the drivers door when exiting my vehicle and use my key to manually unlock the drivers door to get into my vehicle. i see many complaints about this being an issue with this make and model chevy. not just the complaints and issues with this problem, how about the safety of our kids having control over their windows and locks????? when the driver should have control over window, locks ect.......per law the driver is responsible for everyone in any vehicle....how can the driver of these vehicles with this ongoing problem be in control of the locks and windows if they do not work???? this could cause minor to fatal injuries with small children including adults. this needs to be a recall on gm! *tr

While on the highway the drivers side door window lowered by it's self, soon there after a strong smell of smoke, came out from the switch that controls the power locks, and windows. i immediately pulled off the road, as the control was literally sparking the window then went up on it's own and there after it did not work anymore. i have contacted gm and they stated that parts are currently not available, however they state that when they become available they will call me in the mean time they suggested that the vehicle be parked out doors since it can still catch on fire. this vehicle was purchased new and now i am stuck without a car for transportation. gm also states that these modules will not be available until january 2013...note the module literally melted. *tr

Hi, the windows in my trailblazer won't open. then open sometimes but then close themselves. i can hear crackling inside the driver side door and the power is also surging throughout my truck, i then hear clicking. i am in canada, not montana, but there is a usa recall on a door module that i think is the problem. i am writing you because it wasn't disclosed to me at the time of my purchase, but my truck was bought used in the usa, brought into canada by a dealer, it was apparently a rental at one time, and it was sold to me by southpark used lot in edmonton, ab in late 2007. this is the used car lot for don wheaton chevy/olds, it had approximately 18,000km on it. i found out it was a rental from a chevy salesman about 3-4 years later when i went to see about trading it in. i have had many problems with this truck and it has not been the reliable vehicle i needed with kids but i have been forced to deal with it not able to afford another. i actually bough a second car 2 years ago for $550, it's a 87 thunderbird coup lx and i have had to use this car many many times because the truck isn't working half the time and it costs me piles and piles of money, it's very stressful. i am a single parent and doing my best like everyone else just to get by. i am not asking for anything special here. i have had to pay a lot to keep this truck on the road already, i have had many issues that the chevy dealer would not fix because they say they can't recreate the issues and yet i take it to a non dealer mechanic and they find the issues just fine and this is wrong because i had full warranty to pay it all. please see recall: 12180 established this year, i would be very grateful if someone could help. we are in full swing of winter here and i need to have functioning windows and do not want to catch fire especially with someone else with me, children or grandma, please. *tr

The fuel gauge is not reading properly. after a fillup, i drove to work, when i drove home later, the gas gauge read near empty. i thought someone stole gas from my tank. i get off work at midnight and live in a rural area, so i was very worried about running out of gas before i got home. (there are no gas stations on my route). next day i got a can of gas to fill the tank enough to get me to a station, and i found the tank to be full. since then the gauge has been fluctuating between half full and empty activating the low fuel warning light. this is very unnerving and i won't let my wife drive it now. asked about this problem at a repair shop and they told me this is common and gm will pay half repair cost. contacted chevrolet and the help line confirmed they have a program to fix this problem at half price. if this is such a common problem, why should i have to pay anything to get repairs done when they are admitting it is defective?. *tr

Driver side door and window switch module failed incremently starting with the windows then door and window locks.this failure occured over a period of approximately week, ending with a complete failure of the switch module. at around the same time the fuel gauge began to show empty after filling up along with the low fuel light. the window switchs on the other doors remain operational. i believe this to be a safety issue, as the driver has no control of doors or windows with children in the vehicle. chevy dealer says this window switch is 426 dollars plus labor and the fuel gauge problem is another 450 dollars. from what i gather this is a common problem with the trail blazer with no offer by gm to replace known defective parts. there were no fires or injuries.

While driving at 45 mph (foot not on the gas, going downhill) the vehicle lost all power. was approaching a stoplight and braked to stop. after truck came to full stop due to me braking for light anyhow, brake pedal became hard, unable to push down or pump. stopped at traffic light not knowing what happened since gas tank was full, i shut key (truck) off, and on waited till light turned green, it restarted on the first attempt thank goodness. why the complete powerfailure while driving at 45 mph, i have heard this could be onstar related, even though i am not signed up as a customer, if a trailblazer 07 is stolen or in an accident, i heard the onstar features confusion w/ satellite and causes them all to shut down. don't know if this is true, but something went way wrong, luckily no one was hurt or i'd be suing bigtime. today is 10-12-12, yesterday got a recall notice in the mail for door/windows/locks problem. they will fix for free however no parts to replace are currently available, really??? wow.

My husband was driving with the whole family in the car, it was raining that morning and only a minute into our drive, the drivers door window rolled down by itself...he pushed the switch for the window to go back up..the window went back up and not even 30seconds later it rolled down again on its own...at about the same time smoke started billowing out of the drivers door, the smoke filled the car, it smelled like an electrical fire. we were only a block from home so we took the car home, pulled the interior from the door where we discovered the switches that control the locks, windows, and side mirrors were all melted and still smoking...we disconnected all the switches and are without use of any drivers door electrical switches. *tr

The power window switch in the drivers side door was melting and extremely hot to the touch. the switch burned out and we had to remove it to prevent a potential fire. i telephoned gm about it as there had been a recall on my year and model of car but i was told my car didn't fall into the recall. clearly i have the same issue that was reported by others and this has been an issue with that switch since i owned the vehicle. it would stop working then come back on. i took it to them once before but the switch was working so they said there was no issue. *tr

Car has a delay in starting. starts to turn over, but sounds like its trying too hard. once started the clock resets to 1200 and the check engine light was on. when the dealership checked for a code the only thing that came up had to do with the gas cap not being on tight. it has been happening with more frequency regardless of how tight the gas cap is. check engine light is no longer coming on. battery gauge is where it should be once it starts and does not drain. wondering if it could possible be a faulty ignition switch, but the dealership won't attempt a fix as they cannot get the problem to duplicate. *tr

The window and lock controls stopped working, and we smelled something burnt. my husband took apart the piece, to find the part had caught on fire or smoke or something. a big hole with melted plastic. this had to have happened overnight. everything was working fine yesterday, and when we went to get in the car today is when we noticed the problem. *tr

When i started my car, i went to turn the ac on and there was beeping and the emergency brake, abs/stability, and a few other instrument panel lights come on. the overhead interior light comes on as well and the air will not blow out. the only way to get this to stop is to turn the a/c off or either turn it up to the highest level (5). if it is on 5 and i try to turn it down, the beeping starts and the lights come on. sometimes it will just happen randomly even if i don't touch the air. once while i was on the interstate doing 75 mph, it randomly happened and my car stalled and slowed down as if it were cutting off which scared me so badly because if my car had cut off i could have been in a serious accident, or even with it slowing down the way it did. my foot was on the gas driving and the car just started slowing out of nowhere. also, the air bag light has come on and will not go off and the air bag has never been deployed. i love my truck so much, but am considering getting rid of it if i cannot get any assistance with getting it fixed because of my concern for my family's safety as well as other drivers on the road. *tr

Driver noticed smoke and burning electrical/plastic smell coming from the driver door in the area of the door and window buttons. stopped at a service station and had the mechanic look at it. he pulled out the driver control module and said it had started to burn. the top and side of the unit was melted. this rendered all of the buttons inoperable. the door control unit was left out of the door to minimize further risk. *tr

We were on vacation and we were getting ready to leave and we tried to unlock doors to enter vehicle and all doors except the driver door unlocked. a passenger leaned over to unlock the driver door and hit the driver window down switch. the key was not in the ignition. a burning smell was noticed and the driver door was completely dead. we were able to open the door and drive the vehicle. when i returned home i popped out the driver door module and noticed that the plastic case was melted. i opened the unit and noticed that a wiring harness connecting the 2 printed circuit boards was completely burned. luckily this did not cause a major fire. *tr

Vehicle was parked with all doors locked and the vehicle not running. the remote unlock button was engaged and all doors unlocked with the exception of the driver door. the remote unlock was engaged 3 to 4 more times. the door was eventually manually unlocked from passenger's side. when the door was opened, smoke was pouring out of the inside. we poured available liquids down the window slot but smoke was still pouring out. while my spouse went inside the business where we were parked to grab a pitcher of water, i jerked the plastic oval piece around the inside door handle off and saw flames. he returned with the pitcher and we poured the water down the open hole at the door handle and finally managed to extinguish the flames. we drove the vehicle home but none of the door functions worked at all. it is going to cost me approximately $600 to fix this issue. i have been afraid to drive my trailblazer since that time. also the fuel gauge quit working about 3 months ago. we finally fixed that issue today. the next issue to repair after the door is the heat/air actuator as the air conditioning no longer comes thru my air conditioning vents. *tr

Driver's side door switch panel had an electrical fire (smoke only, no visible flames) while in motion. driver side window operated without driver's touch, smoke from electrical fire inside of door came thru seams of the interior finish panels. fire did not spread however no controls on the panel work anymore. *tr

On vacation with my family last summer the windows upon entering the vehicle started to go up and down all by themselves. it almost caught my sons arm inside of it. after a few minutes the windows stopped and remained down. we couldn't get them to go back up for a few hours and had to leave them down overnight. the next morning my husband went out, turned the key, pushed the buttons and they all went back up.he told us not to touch the windows just in case weren't able to get them back up. once we returned from vacation i took it to a suggested mechanic as per my warranty company. they diagnosed it as the master window switch, the gentlemen told me that they are about 2-3 hundred dollars and are not covered under warranty, imagine that!well i paid the gentlemen for his time and have been without windows for over a year now because i make my 500 payment every month and do not have the extra money not only for the part but then for labor and to have it programed by an authorized dealer.now i see that this is a common problem with this year trailblazer, are we waiting for someone to die before we issue a recall? i sent an email to gm about it and they did contact me, what they said is to once again have it diagnosed at an authorized gm dealer (ok more $) then they would look at the report and if they ok it i would then be reimbursed for everything (ok good one) i just had it diagnosed and still have the report but i need to get another one, come on people i dont make your salary and have 2 kids to support! . so i took it, well when i talked to the gm dealer they said just to look at it will be about 100 so i cancelled the appointment. that is very sad that gm would knowingly let this go on with out offering to fix the problem. i will never buy another gm motors vehicle in my life, sad to say that i will be buying not made in the usa vehicles from here on out. ## vin passed ## chevy trailblazer 2007 ## *tr

Vehicle was parked for the evening, turned off, no key in ignition, and unattended. driver door module worked fine the previous day. the next morning, no parts of the module worked. upon investigation, we discovered that the left side of the module by the driver window button had a burn spot on it and smelled like an electrical fire. the dealer quoted the part only price as over $300.00. *tr

I was going into the drive thru bank window and when i went to open my window it would not go down. the other windows worked but not from the main switch. i called the dealer and they said i need a new module which is going to cost me $300 to replace which i do not have . after doing some research this seems to be a problem with this model.

I had a drivers master power switch that melted too, it happened on march 04 2012. we got in the car and could smell something, we drove with the windows opened for about 1 hour. on march 5, we went out again but had to pull into a auto repair shop, the smell was still there. they pulled the master switch on the drivers door and the switchs had all melted together. he disconnected everything. we contacted chevrolet and they are in the process of replacing all the switchs. i'm worring about the smell and if it will go away. this must have happened during the night before we got in the car.

2007 trailblazer ss drivers door module/window switch on my normal commute to work, i had noticed a faint burning smell of plastic that would only linger in the cabin for a few seconds. the smell continued for almost a week with the same symptoms and then disappeared for almost 4 days. after the smell of burning plastic was no longer there, one night while driving, the drivers door module lights (drivers, passenger, rear windows, window locks, and lock) were flickering and noticeably power surging. i was concerned about this issue so i had done some research online looking for any information that may lead to a solution to my problem and if any other trailblazer owners were experiencing the same problem. seemed to be a pretty popular problem among trailblazer owners ranging from 2004 and up. some research indicated that wires may had been broken inside the insulation that goes from the interior of the car to the door. i had the vehicle inspected at a chevy dealership and they told me that the ddm was functional and just needed a fuse replacement. that same night when moving the vehicle from the street to my driveway, smoke started pouring from the top of the door panel and it was obvious that plastic was burning and on fire. i then pried the drivers door module off and noticed a dime sized hole right under where the drivers window switch button is located. that hole still singing i disconnected the ddm and have been driving with non-operational windows ever since

I was driving home from work and started smelling burned wires - then smoke started pouring out of all creases in my driver side door. i pulled over and had a drink with me and dumped the whole thing into the door to get it to stop. fire dept came and told me not to drive the vehicle and had it towed to the dealership. the dealership determined in was a faulty driver door window regulator and it had a hole burned thru it. i looked on internet and saw this ad: http://autos.winnipegfreepress.com/news-article/id-4400/ this is exactly what happend to my car. insurance says not covering it. i could have been injured very badly as i was on the highway and there was so much smoke in my car.

While driving my car today i tried to roll the window down on the drivers side. the window would go down and then automatically go up. i tried all the windows and they would all go down and automatically go up. i took it to the repair shop. the left master window switch was stuck in the down position. they tried to reset it and now the left master window switch will not respond at all. they said the switch was getting very hot while they were diagnosing the problem.

The fuel gauge on my 2007 chevy trailblazer began fluctuating from proper fuel level reading to empty at around 74,000 miles. after few weeks of this, the fuel gauge now consistently reads emptyafter driving 115 - 120 miles on a full tank, which indicates a failure of the fuel sensing unit. i am driving the vehicle based on the trip odometer and i have run out of gas twice since this is not a reliable way to estimate the amount of fuel in the tank. both times i was on my way to work a on heavily traveled bridge with no shoulder. this is a huge safety hazard!!! also at around 75,000 miles the driver side door lock stopped working and the electronic stability control off light and electronic stability control maintenance light periodically turn on.

Fuel gauge drops to empty with low fuel light coming on, no matter how much gas is in vehicle. sometimes it fluctuates back and forth. never sure how much gas is in vehicle. which this creates a big problem since i transport handicap people in my vehicle. also driver side window operates very slow, sometimes it hesitates on rolling up. i have to let it set for a while, then try rolling it up again. after several times doing this, it has finally rolled up all the way. i think the dealer should fix these problems, without consumer paying for any of it. especially since these seem to be ongoing problems. i have been lucky reference my door panel hasn't caught fire yet, which could cause a serious traffic accident. also my slick, skid control lights come on very easily when i take off and stay on till i can shut the car off and restart it, and hope doesn't come back on when i start to drive.

My right passenger door panel caught on fire. the car was parked in the drive way and was not running. when will this be recalled? does some one have to die die before this is fixed. this is a known on going issue. its sad when you look out your door and see your car smoking while it is not running

I woke up one morning to a smokey garage and noticed my driver door modulle had caught on fire, luckily the whole truck did not catch on fire in my garage while my family and i were inside our home sleeping. i can no longer control the power windows and locks in my truck. i contacted my local chevy dealer and they tried charging me nearly $1000.00 for a module and door panel replacement and notified me there were no such recalls on my vehicle at this time. this is not the first incident i also had another fire while at a drive through window, the wiring to the cigarette lighters inside my vehicle caught on fire a few weeks after the door again the chevy dealer said there are no recalls and i would have to pay out of pocket. so many what if questions come to mind. this is not the only trailblazer i have known or read upon to have electrical issues or even fire damage. gm definately needs to take responsibility before there is harm to anyone due to these unknown fires.

I was having problems with the drivers side door control panel for about 3 days. on 2/22/12 the controls did not work for the drivers side window and the window was stuck in the up position. on 2/23/12 when returning to my vehicle the window was in the complete down position. i started my vehicle in attempt to roll up the window but the controls didn't work. after about 15 seconds i noticed a burning plastic smell coming from the controls. i immediately shut off the vehicle and popped off the control module to find smoke coming out of the opening. i disconnected the wires and removed the module. i could see what appears to be an internal fire in the module due to the melted plastic and housing of the unit. i'm glad that i have some sense of mechanical aptitude because this could have caused a lot of damage.

I have experienced problems with my 2007 chevy trailblazer since i purchased this car. the transmission messed up originally and now i am having problems with my gas gauge indicator. this recent problem started last year 2010. the levels were reading inaccurately at that time and seemed to have repaired itself. the beginning of this year, the indicators stopped working again. i never know how much gas is in my truck and i am paranoid and contstantly going to the store to add more gas. i am understanding that this appears to be a problem with the majority of chevy vehicles and gm actually knows that the problem exist and has done absolutely nothing to help the millions of loyal customers that purchased these cars. there is no reason that this all should be happening to my vehicle that i purchased brand new; so i am the original and only owner. is there any help for the consumers that have purchased gm vehicles. i could see if this was a problem with one line of vehicles manufactured by gm but this problem appears to be all across the board. i have run out of gas numerous of times because i never know how much gas is in this vehicle. this is absolutely insane that gm can scam millions of customers and not fix a known problem.

Chevy vehicles have had multiple problems with their tpms (tire pressure monitoring system) on all vehicle types. the failure occurs at the wheel itself. although this is a safety device, it has turned into a useless piece of equipment which no owner can afford to keep up with . what happens is that the pressure monitor system at the wheel is very sensitive and fails quickly. the amount of repair for one unit costs approximately $200, and that is for one wheel. chevy should be doing a recall on all vehicles, that have the tpms system. this problem is not unique to one vehicle, if you do a google search on tpms and chevy or gm you'll find that this is a common problem. after i had the first one replaced the dealer told me that i shouldn't bother because it will only fail again. the dealer also said that he wishes that chevy would install a better system, because it will advise you that your tpms is not working properly, and after it fails, drivers will ignore the message, which is a larger safety issue. i don't know how the dot would allow gm to continue to use faulty parts which is a safety related item. the consumer shouldn't have to pay for their mistakes, and hopefully a person doesn't lose their life before action by the dot. i hope to see a recall issued soon

Fuel gauge stated i had enough fuel and i ran out of gas. it happened again just 2 months ago and i received a letter from gm telling me this might happen and that they will cover 50% of the cost. that's not good enough, i see complaints all over the internet. this needs to be a recall!!!!

Fuel gauge no longer reads corrrectly. problems began several weeks ago with a gasoline fill up. the gauge did not read correctly (empty) but righted itself after several miles. the gauge no longer corrects itself and reads empty practically all of the time, even when there is suffucient fuel in the tank.

Vehicle lights always on. check engine! gas gauge paid 600 dollars to fix and still check engine light on due to emission problem. car has 50000 miles and is a lemon..

While driving the vehicle the drivers door master window switch begane to smoke, i pulled over and disconeccted before it completely burned. smoke filled up the entire vehicle. i do still have the part. was suprized there was no recall after learning through a web search, this is very common.

Fuel gauge failure, inaccurate reading. fuel guage stays on empty. driver has to rely on tripometer to guess range to determine when to fill gas tank.

I was driving my 2007 chevy trailblazer xl when i smelled the odor of burning plastic. i pulled over to the side and began to examine the interior of the vehicle, i observed smoke coming out of the drivers side door electrical control panel. i then turned off the vehicle and exited leaving the drivers side door open to observe. the smoke than subsided, but the control panel which is used to open the windows, doors and unlock the door was no longer functioning. i drove home at which time i opened up or removed the drivers side control panel. the plastic casing was melted and burned. i than reffed to the owners manual and located the fuse box and the fuse, which was burned out, this may have stopped the fire or short. there is no explained reason way this panel shorted out and started a potential fire. i have not consulted the chevy dealer or gm yet. i have been given information by a independent mechanic that this is a common problem with this model year.

Fuel gauge incorrect readings resulting in several 'out of gas' situations. this has happened on busy express ways, remote rural areas, etc. safety issues. vehicle also has random warning lights that seem to come and go at will.

Gas gauge has been very inaccurate. gauge will read full after fill up for approx. 20 minutes of driving, after that it will read empty with the low fuel light on. for my safety i am filling up every few days because i have no idea how much fuel is in there. i have been using my trip odometer to use a some base line. my fear is i will be pulling into traffic and it will run out of gas. i believe there should be a recall on this as it is a major safety issue.

Tl* the contact submitted an email and requested that the official ivoq be written verbatim to the email: i have a 2007 trailer blazer and had these problems for 2 years. gas gauge would show 1/4 to 1/2 tank but ran out of fuel twice. gauge shows empty all the time now. service department said it's a bad sensor in tank and will cost $ 800.00 to fix. this has been a problem with gm for 3 or 4 years. 1,000's of complaints on different forums. the failure mileage was 30,000.

After moving halfway across the country, i noticed that my fuel guage would say it was full for way too long, then at about 3/4 tank, drop basically to empty. after about 3 months, the guage began to never report that it had anything in it. to this day, it never reads anything other than empty, with the warning light on and the initial warning on the dash stating that the fuel is low. no changes to the car's normal usage were made. the failure has never corrected. i have not had the fuel guage repaired or replaced because it is a costly fix, and i can do the math to know when i need to fill up based on mileage.

My 2007 gm trail blazer's fuel gauge began to show an empty tank when i would fill it up, and then when i would drive for a while, it would register full. eventually the engine light started coming on and going off at random. i took the vehicle to a garage and was told it would cost approx. $800.00. i could not afford that, so i started inquiring about the fuel pump and fuel sending unit. eventually i found a web site where i could purchase the sending unit for approx. half the retail price. i ordered the sending unit, took the vehicle to a garage to have it repaired and have not had any other problems with either the gauge not registgering properly or the engine light coming on. if this investigation becomes a recall, since i have already made the repairs, can i be reimbursed? i would appreciate your response when your decision is made. thank you.

Antiskid warning lights always on indicating an antiskid malfunction. low tire pressure light always on even though tires are adequate. check engine light comes on for a few days/weeks and turns off again. had the vehicle checked and there was no indication that anything was wrong. fuel gauge reads empty even when full. all lights have turned off while driving down the road. tried to shut off the engine, even removed the key, but the engine remained running.

Vehicle instrument panel lights come on intermittenly. first the traction control light then the tire light. lights would either come on and stay on or blink, they would eventually go off or would clear when trailblazer started.took to dealer while under warranty and was told that there was a patch for the electrical system and it was corrected, the next week the problem began again. returned to the dealer and said nothing was wrong. a few months later, i took vehicle in for a routine oil change and mentioned that i was still having trouble with the lights, i was told that it was a computer problem and that it would cost 400.00 to fix. (the auto was no longer under warranty) i asked dealer why they couldn't find anything wrong when car was under warranty but can find something now. they told me that it was a different problem. smells fishy to me. now my check engine light is on and i am not certain if it is the problem with the computer chip or there is a ligitimate problem with the vehicle. i bought this vehicle with 22,000 miles on it and have had the problem since day one. until i can afford to fix this problem, i cannot be certain if there is a real problem with the tires, traction control or engine.

While driving down a highway vehicle lost 100% of all electrical power. no headlights, wipers, radio, nothing. after pulling to the road side, turned ignition key to off and attempted to restart vehicle. vehicle started right back up. following day scanned for fault codes, none were found.

I bought this 2007 chevy trailblazer and baby it like there was no tomorrow. now everything is breaking. first it was the racking pinion stearing. some how the seal busted. second, the fuel gage began to register empty even though it was full and joint ball went bad making some vibration and squealing sound. i got the fuel gage fixed and joint ball, now the struts that lift rear window doesn't work. i was so eager to get this trailblazer but it is costing me more money than what it is worth.

Filled my tank and drove away the morning of the incident. while driving later that day my fuel gauge started going down while driving. it went to empty the low gas indicator light came on and it stayed that way for a few minutes before returning to full. this only happened 1x so far recently. i've also had problem with all the gauges going out while driving. speedometer/fuel/ electrical/tach etc. had to turn off the vehicle and restart to reset these functions in the past. 2-3x an had onstar run diagnostics. the electric stability control has also been coming on/off intermittently quite frequently at startup and at other times while driving. i've seen similar complaints on chat boards but few have take the steps to document them beyond the postings. there are many similar complaints on the web. thank you *tr

Check engine lightstarted coming on, then the stabil-trax and the engine deceleration light started coming on. when this started, the engine would shut down every time the lights came on.at first it was at intervals of 40 to 140 miles. whenever the engine first started this, you could shut the ignition off for 1-2 min. , then the vehicle could be started and driven until the lights came on. dotson chevrolet, in big sonne gap, va. ( where we bought vehicle), has had the vehicle off and on for 6 weeks. they have changed the sending unit in the fuel tank, and the pcm module on the engine so far. as of today, 10-19-09 the vehicle is now shutting down at 8-10 miles. they say they are still checking , but now they are thinking the problem may be in the wiring. so far, we have luckily been driving in light traffic, where we were able to get out traffic to the side of the road, without any problem. if this problem occurs on the interstate of in heavy traffic , it could cause a serious accident. the dealer says the have been in contact with gm about the problem. i would have thought that gm would have tech people, of engineers that would know why the codes and lights don't correspond when this occurs, or would have some idea what might cause such a problem. *tr

I have a problem where the throttle hangs up around 2000 rpm in all gears after being on the throttle and then immediately needing to slow down for any reason. this is a trailblazer super sport equipped with the 395 hp 400 ft lb engine. i have been to the dealer. i have sued gm for this being a lemon and was paid off. yet no fix. i have video of this happening. other owners have the same problem and gm says because others do it the vehicle is acting as designed. per george valez gm legal office . gm service request # 71-661522934 high idle i have logs where the acceleration takes place from 9 mph to 11 mph for 11 seconds of a tbss wild ride with no throttle. i start by downshifting it in manual 1st while slowing down. (brakes required to slow from 2k hang up rpm on down.) when the engine is slowing down there is a bump at ~2000 rpm where the engine speed raises above the input shaft speed of the transmission. prior to this it was turning slower and compression braking. time here is 0 of the 11 seconds. i hit the brakes at 14 mph to pull the speed down from 2k rpm and let off at 9mph 3 seconds later. starting at 1381 rpm for the lowest engine rpm, trans input shaft 50 rpm slower then the engine indicating acceleration. ac clutch just happens to kick in here. here we go! i say. the next 8 seconds we have the engine hits 1650 rpm and hunts around this rpm +- 75 rpm while we hit 11 mph. at 8.4 seconds the engine cuts back to 1468 rpm. this is when the trans input speed is faster than the engine rpm by around 50 - 70 rpm, this indicates engine finally slowing the vehicle again. it only takes 5 seconds from this point to slow down from 11 mph to 5mph without any brakes. that is what is scary - 16 seconds of fighting the engine when it could have stayed cut out and slowed down in less than 5 seconds from 2k rpm. the ac in this example makes the problem worse, but isn't 100% of the problem. *tr updated ivoq/ 09/10/09

My 2007 new trailblazer started on fire while it was off and parked for over 12 hours in may of 2008. after 2 and 1/2 months of not having my truck it was determined to be an electrical short. gm admitted it was a fault of theirs seeing as my truck was not even a year old and purchased new. ever since the car was returned back to me the indicator lights go on and off and today i was driving and the check engine came on. i immediately took it in to have it looked at and was told that there is an electrical short and a fire could have started again had i not brought this in sooner. so for the 2nd time i am risking my life everytime i drive this truck! *tr
