I bought this vehicle back in september 2009. ever since i bought the vehicle i have had problems with the traction control lights coming on for no apparent reason. this happens when its hot and cold, dry or wet. just starting the engine makes then come on. i have been back to the dealer for 2 years now for the same problem and they tell me that they don't know why it is happening and can't fix it. my vehicle is now out of warranty and will never be fixed. ?*tr

Tl-the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet trailblazer 4wd. while driving approximately 30 mph during snowy weather conditions the stabilitrak light came on the dashboard. she stated the stabilitrak does work when you hit a ice patch. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the failure and they reset the light. the vehicle was taken to the dealer at least seven times for the failure. the failure continued after the dealer check the vehicle. the contact did not know all that the dealer did. the vehicle was not repaired for the failure. while 70 mph the vehicle would go from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive low. the vehicle was taken to the dealer and they reset the light. over a two year period, the vehicle was taken back and forth to the dealer. finally the dealer replaced the transfer case. the vehicle was repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 15,000 and the current mileage was 70,000. vwb

Tl- the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet trailblazer. the vehicle was parked in her driveway, as she was getting out of the vehicle, the vehicle started rolling backwards, she was caught between the door and the vehicle and was knocked down. she had minor injuries. the vehicle kept rolling into the street. the vehicle was not taken to the dealer, nor was the chevrolet manufacturer notified. she states there is a recall on some 2009 vehicles that is the same issues she's having with a loose clip on the transmission shift cable. she will call the manufacturer after our conversation. the failure and current mileage was 26,000....dwh

Rented 2009 chevrolet trailblazer suv from national car rental on 8/31/08 with 436 miles on odometer. drove approx 800 miles over a period of 7 days. on 9/6/08, while driving on i-75 southbound at 70mph, vehicle shifted itself into 3rd gear, would not go into 4th or overdrive. rpm's at 70 mph were approx 3,500. pulled off road at interstate exit, transmission made a clunk, jolting me and my wife rather intensely. topped off the fuel, quite gingerly began our trip again. as vehicle reached 45-50mph, it downshifted itself into 3rd gear, jumping the rpm's and causing the vehicle to lurch harshly. called national, requested they talk us in to saginaw, mi office for vehicle exchange. national rep told me she could not read a map and can't tell what exit you should take to get here. we once again pulled off the road at an exit, slowed to a stop, put vehicle in park while attempting to locate a national office. while on hold with national's roadside assistance dept., decided to try to get on the road again. reached 40mph on i-75, when transmission completely failed. motor revved when throttle depressed, but no forward motion occurred. pulled off in emergency lane (narrow, next to a steep ditch), and were stuck there for nearly two hours while national performed a tow-exchange. eventually, another vehicle was brought out, but not until after we were stuck with huge semi tractors running 80mph past us for two hours, and having no means of shelter from the potential of becoming roadkill!! failure of transmission was unprecedented. vehicle drove normally until it would not shift into 4th / overdrive. failure was progressive and severe thereafter. *tr
