| I have a 2005 chevy trailblazer ext. as i was driving to work this morning i noticed that my speedometer kept increasing speed 80+ then finally went to 120 then dropped to the bottom. it stays at the bottom of the meter so it doesn't read anything. as i'm google this problem it appears that this seems to be a common happening. i called the dealer and they are like that happens to those cars all the time but no recall. this is terrible we (american people) just bailed gm out and now they have these issues with their vehicles and don't do anything about them. they should be made to stand behind their products. why buy american when they treat you like this??????????? *tr | |||

| The speedometer in my trailblazer extended will get stuck on occasion. the problem has become much worse over the past few weeks since it has been so cold. i also notice it more when it is raining outside. this occurs at least once to twice a week. i haven't taken my vehicle to the dealer yet because i looked online and saw that this is occurring on many of the same type vehicles. obviously chevrolet should be responsible for this and i refuse to pay for something when someone else has | |||

| On approximately november 11, 2008, while driving home, i noticed that the speedometer on my 2005 chevy trailblazer with 45000 miles was reading a speed that was less than my senses indicated. after stopping, i noticed that the speedometer was approximately 10 mph under zero, or that the speedometer was reading 10 mph less than actual. overnight, the speedometer reset back to zero. the same action occurred again approximately december 18, 2008, january 9, 2009, and february 5, 2009. after looking at the internet, i discovered that this defect was occurring on numerous 2003 through 2005 gm vehicles. i contacted gm and was told that they were taking responsibility for 2003 and 2004 trucks, but not my 2005 trailblazer. this defect has caused me to exceed the speed limit without my knowledge on numerous occasions. *tr | |||

| My speedometer has quit working. it will register 30mph and i'm probably going 70 when i'm keeping up with the traffic on the highway. most of the time it doesn't work at all. this just started on the 25th of december. we have noticed on the internet that this is happening to several gm vehicles. there is other recalls on these other vehicles and we think the 2005 trailblazer should also be included. *tr | |||

| The speedometer started sticking and then it got stuck on 160 mph. it will not move. it is very dangerous to drive the vehicle because you have no idea how fast or slow that you are going and you pose a risk to others as well. chevrolet would not cover it under their recall even though they have already recalled 2003-2004 trailblazers for the same problem. my vehicle has 59000 miles on it .the repair for the instrument panel cluster will cost over 900 dollars here in germany where we are stationed with the us military. we can not afford to repair it yet. *tr | |||

| Gas gauge failed at 40,000 miles. the needle will not move off of e. for a short time it would actually read 1/4 full when the tank was full now it doesn't move. the warning ding goes off periodically. in addition to the gas gauge problem the blower on the heater/ac no longer works on the high setting. this car is barely two years old, there is no excuse for poor quality in american made car's! of course these items failed after the warranty expired. at 15,000 miles the electrical component that controls the turn signals failed. engaged the turn signal to turn right and the left turn signal came on.....oh well, at least that was under warranty. *tr | |||

| 2005 trailblazer. middle of high way engine stopped and instrument panel went crazy. some time later ignition key worked again. i changed battery but it happened again and when i turned the ignition key to start the engine, sometimes is work and sometimes id doesn't. the dealer wanted me to pay for diagnosis fee my car is 46000 out of warranty and as i check internet forum some people have the same trouble and dealer covered the money how can i protect my family with the engine stopping in middle of highway!!!!!!!! *jb | |||

| Heater blower is going out, then goes back on if i touch the wires going into the motor housing. now the speedometer is going wacky. shows 120 mph never goes back to zero. this is an ongoing problem with gm please investigate.*jb | |||
