| I have had the following problems with my 2005 chevy trailblaxer ext ls: 2008: fuel sensor failure, running board fell off 2009: head and tail lights going out frequently, windows would get stuck- could not go up or down- all dash lights flashing, car stalling out- needed circuit board replaced. anti-theft non-functioning. 2010:windshield wipers will not shut off(replaced display board), idle pulley needs to be replaced , 4x4 running rough and making a sound,spedometer non-functioning, radio stopped working,glove box lock broke, heat/ac stopped working first on blowers 4& 5 then stopped completely i have not been able to afford to fix all these repairs, as it exceeds $2,000. car is over warranty and was brought used from a former gm dealer at under 50k. i contacted gm in november 2010 and they stated that they my vehicle was out of warranty and they could not assist me. gm initiated contact in december of 2010 and told me to get a full diagnosis of the problems and stated that it was ok to go to the former gm dealer. i paid over $100 for this diagnosis and they stated that my vehicle was out of warranty and they cannot provide any assistance whatsoever. | |||

| I requests that nhtsa open an investigation into the performance/reliability of the fuel level sensor installed in model year 2005 chevrolet trailblazer vehicles. i allege that the fuel tank level sensor is defective and could result in a subject vehicle running out of fuel, stall, and being rear ended by another vehicle. i also allege that the rear center brake light cover assembly located above the rear hatch on thses vehicles routinely fails resulting in the assembly falling off of the truck and would cause damage to another vehicle driving behind the trailblazer. | |||

| Our 2005 chevy trailblazer's low beam headlights have been replaced, the wires were replaced and worked long enough for me to go out at night. the first night i did go out, they stopped working. i was stuck out of town with my little girl. thank goodness i wasn't driving or in a place where i didn't have cell phone service(which i don't have close to my home). also, our fuel gauge doesn't work. we've had it repaired and it worked for a short period as well, but doesn't work any longer. apparently, these two issues are common problems that chevrolet needs to address. a recall would be nice. i have two more payments and i do not want to buy a new vehicle. nor would i feel comfortable selling this one as it is. | |||

| I have a 2005 chevrolet trailblazer ls ext and the speedometer, fuel, and battery gauges do not work properly. there is a dimming of the lights while driving and people sometimes think i am flashing my lights at them. according to http://forums.trailvoy.com/showthread.php?t=18419&highlight=gas+guage&page=2 this has been a known problem for several years and no one has done anything about it. there are several other forums out there that say the same thing,this is a major safety hazard and could cause major problems including accidents, speeding tickets, running out of gas...the problems are endless i guess. something needs to be done. why has there not been a recall on this with so many complaints? are you waiting for something serious to happen? | |||

| 2005 ext trailblazer rear plastic molding containing the 3rd brakelight separated from the window at least 3x since i have owned this vehicle. once even falling completely off severing the wires and landing in the roadway. i noticed the first separation less than 6 months after getting vehicle brand new. it has separated again and dealer says that it is not covered under warranty because it is considered cosmetic even though the vehicle was still under lease for another year. he also informed me that it happens to everyone he has seen and there is nothing they can do to stop it from happening that it is a flaw in the engineering, but they wouldn't hold it against me when i turn my lease in. *tr | |||

| While driving on the highway, the rear brake light accessory fell off my 2005 chevrolet trailblazer ext. while the vehicle was in motion. there was no prior indication that the piece was loose. the piece, fortunately, remained attached to the vehicle while slamming against my rear window. i am concerned that the manufacturer of this vehicle is not properly securing the rear brake light piece and endangering my family as well as other motorists. when i tried to rectify with the dealerships service shop, they claimed that ice can cause this problem, citing that they had seen this happen a couple of times prior, and refused to take responsibility for correcting the problem, claiming that it was due to an act of nature and perhaps i could file a claim with my automobile insurance provider. *tr | |||

| Brake and tail light on 2005 chevy trailblazer ext have failed on two occasions since leasing this new car on 9/15/2004. the first incident occurred on 6/15/2006, when the passenger brake and tail light failed and was noticed by a police officer who gave an informal warning. it was repaired on 6/16/2007 by the dealer who is now out of business. the second incident occurred today, june 21, 2007 when the driver side brake and tail light failed and was noticed by another driver. it will be taken to the dealer tomorrow. | |||
