Today, 02/28/2012, i noticed that the fuel gauge on my 2005 chevrolet trailblazer ext was fluctuating between half full and full after adding 19 gallons of gas to the truck. this is the first time i have noticed this problem and am aware that many other individuals have had this problem on their trailblazers. i am hoping there will be a recall in the near future

Stepper motors in the instrument panel all went out in three separate gauges. speedometer, alternator and oil pressure gauges. items failed and gauges became erratic and then pointed either straight down or pegged left or right. giving incorrect or no reading.

Our 2005 chevy trailblazer's speedometer just quit working. we can be sitting at a complete stop and the speedometer will read 50mph. it will randomly change and later will even drop below the zero mark. we have no idea how fast we are traveling when this occurs. yesterday, while driving from oh to in, i had to guess how fast i was goin on the freeway. the speedometet started our reading 45mph, so i estimated that i had to travel at 110 mph to go 65mph. the problem became worse when i noticed that my speedometer was jumping from one speed to the next, not gradually climbing like it should have been. this problem is a random occurance. i never know when to excpect it. obviously, there are serious consequences that can ensue. speeding tickets, endangering others' as well as our own lives by driving too fast or too slow, or causing accidents in general. nothing has been done to correct the problem since the car is out of warranty and i am underemployed and we cannot afford to replace the instrument cluster at this time.

As you can see from below the complaint, seems i got a call from nikki at gm or chevy and they stated i need to bring vehicle in, pay for the diagnostic and then maybe they can decide on what to do, i believe this issue has gone on for 5 years now and they should be checking to see what the issue is...could be faulty wiring, which can lead to a fire, safety issue, could be a false warning or worse a real warning, as you can see in the link i enclosed to them, many people paying big dollars to not have this issue resolved, how long does this go on, i am hoping you guys can step in for us and hopefully light a fire and get gm and chevy to finally look into this matter..they are good about crying no sales and need the infraction from the gov to stay afloat, seems the big wigs just needed their wallets fattened, because they is no concern or worries about a safety issue, even the guages are not working, can you please help us out, thanks lou name: luis toro email address: lous526@yahoo.com address: 1215 windjammer dr lakeland, fl 33803 day phone: ()-- ex evening phone: (813)-764-4865 ex comments: i have my check engine light on, can't seem to figure what is the problem on my 2005 trailblazer, went to this site http://www.carcomplaints.com/chevrolet/trailblazer/2005/electrical/check engine light is on.shtml and low and behold, i am not alone ...are you guys going to help us with this problem, at least tell us why this light goes on, please, it can cost thousands to fix but never have it fixed, even my battery guage has seemed to die, and the gas guage seems to flex on it's on also, as you can see some people are just leaving chevy behind, how about some help, you guys used to be good, what happened, i believe this needs a recall to fix this issue...thanks lou vehicle concern info: nature of concern: vehicle model: year: 2005 vin number:1gnds13s952164297 mileage: 800051 allow phone contact: yes best time for phone contact: pm

I have a 2005 chevrolet trailblazer ls ext and the speedometer, fuel, and battery gauges do not work properly. there is a dimming of the lights while driving and people sometimes think i am flashing my lights at them. according to http://forums.trailvoy.com/showthread.php?t=18419&highlight=gas+guage&page=2 this has been a known problem for several years and no one has done anything about it. there are several other forums out there that say the same thing, this is a major safety hazard and could cause major problems including accidents, speeding tickets, running out of gas...the problems are endless i guess. something needs to be done. why has there not been a recall on this with so many complaints? are you waiting for something serious to happen?

This is the 2nd time that the rear window has literally blown up on this particular vehicle. the first time my wife was at a busy grocery store when she started to lower the back hatch and the entire back window exploded. it was so loud and devastating that she thought someone had fired a shotgun into the back window! the dealership replaced the window in 2008 as a courtesy. less than two weeks ago it happened again as i dropped my two young children off at school. i opened the gate, removed their school bags, shut the hatch and took approximately 3 steps and kapoww! the entire window exploded right in the school's bus circle. the explosion was so great that it even blew one of the window lift cylinders right out into the road!! the wife wasn't kidding...the sound is deafening. contacted gm and was told that a technical bulletin was issued 03-08-48-006g rev. feb 25th 2010) regarding the replacement of the window clips. i was issued a case no. in essence i was told that if the clips weren't replaced it would happen again. well unfortunately this bulletin wasn't available in 2008 so it happened again. contacted customer service again, was told vehicle has too many miles, is no longer under warranty, the original repair was only good for 1 year, and that this is my baby' to deal with. but the service rep offered me $1000,00 gm loyalty bucks (something like this) that i could use on a new gm vehicle. i am furious to say the least and when i asked for the name and number of the customer service rep he told me that i could have the name, but not the number, as his supervisor doesn't speak to customers!!!!
