 Tl-the contact owns a 2005 chevrolet uplander ls. while backing up driving 2 mph she heard a loud pop. she felt something on her left foot and notice blood and then looked at her right knee and it was bleeding also. she stated the vehicle was accelerating during this time and moving backward. the vehicle landed in the middle of the street and she was engaging all of her body weight to get the vehicle to stop. she had to use all of her body weight on the gear shift to get the vehicle to stop. after the vehicle stopped she notice the entire spring to the gas pedal was broken in pieces on the floor board of the vehicle. a neighbor put the vehicle in neutral and the vehicle was pushed back into the driveway. she had injuries to the knee and the foot. she stated that her right knee had a torn cartiage. no police report was filed. she called the dealer and the dealer referred her to the manufacture. the manufacture was called on august 20, 2010 and she was advised that they would call her back in 3 to 4 working day. the vehicle has not been repaired. the vehicle was purchased used. the approximate failure and current mileage were 68,000. vwb
