FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE

Car stalls 4-6 times after fillup. the first time it happened i stalled on a busy street during rush hours traffic. i was almost hit twice. i ended up coasting into gas station where i called aaa as i was afraid to continue home. it has happened 7 times since then. the last time i was entering the freeway. i went to dealer, they said they didnt know what the problem was. its obvious that they did. many 2005 chrysler 300c owners are experiencing the same problem. chrysler is not stepping up to the plate and fixing this well known problem. does someone have to die before the problem is addressed. they are telling people all kinds of things including charging for replacing the gas tank. this is definitely a defect that needs to be addressed. i cant believe they are getting away with this after charging over 40k for this car.

When i filled up my 2005 chrysler with gas on jan. 9th with the tank just 1/2 full at the time, i didn't even make it out of the gas station and it killed on me. then i restarted it and within 2 blocks it killed again losing all power to the car. i have filled up twice since then, with the gas tank being at 1/4-1/2 full each time. it has stalled out each time, twice within 2 blocks of each other. right before it kills, it chugs and lurches and then just quits running. the last time was yesterday, jan. 18th. this time i was almost hit from behind as i pulled to the side of the road and put on my hazard lights

Chrysler 300c 2005. after a fuel tank fillup starting from less than 1/2 tank, for the 1st 10 minutes of run time, the car stalls repeatedly with loss of power, braking, and steering. after a small amount of driving the problem stops and normal driving continues. when the engine stalls, there is a complete loss of power and steering. while no accident occurred, it could have easily caused one. i searched on line and found that this could be caused by a recirc valve. this has been replaced and the problem has not been resolved. every fill up from lot level results in stalling for several minutes of driving time. *tr

Automobile stalls every time after fill-up. this is a known problem that is being ignored by manufacturer. many references to this problem on reputable message boards. no accident yet, but repeated stalling with difficulty starting after stall is very dangerous. only happens after fuel tank is filled. *tr

When to get in car and smelled gas, looked down and gas was running out from the bottom of car, fire and police dept. were called, car was towed to dealership received called about 4 hrs later from service dept. stated that i had ran over bump and punctured gas line, and its going to cost $1016.00 to replace i then informed them that car had been parked then his theory was maybe someone got up under my car and punctured gas line i stated know one would be able to do that, the problem has to be with the gas line maybe defective or some other problem. called chrysler spoke with representative (m31) and she informed me that whatever the dealer stated is what had to have happened im filing this complaint, because what service dept. is stated the problem to my car couldn't be the problem has to be with the manufacture. car is still at dealership part is being ordered, asked for loaner one was never provided. *nm

Dt: there was a complaint filed on this vehicle odi 10125270 concerning the air bag light coming on and staying on. the dealership found out it was the clock spring, and they have replaced it 3 times , but it kept failing. currently, the vehicle is at the dealer, the dealer stated that there was inferior wires used on the wire harness. dealer was to replace entire wire harness under dash board. there was going to be a week or two delay in getting the parts. then there was concern that if there was inferior insulation involved with the wire harness this could cause severe problems such as a fire. *ak *jb the vehicle could not be filled through the fuel pipe to the gasoline tank and the fuel gauge was stuck on full. upon examination by the dealer, it was found the vehicle would not take any gas. the dealer decided that the vehicle needed a kit to be placed on top of the fuel tank. *jb
