While driving home from work the brake light illuminated, when i applied the brake the pedal nearly went to the floor. i drove home and after later inspection i found the brake reservoir was empty. i filled the brake reservoir with fluid and took the car for a test ride. when i applied the brakes the pedal went to the floor (the car had a small amount of braking). i drove it to a repair shop and the mechanic inspected the brake system and discovered the right rear brake line was riding the frame which caused hole that left me with no fluid/brakes. at this time cant find a recall. thank you

I have had numerous problems with my chrysler 300, which are becoming more costly and defeating the purpose of my purchasing a new car. first, i was subject to a recall regarding the transmission. next, the rack and pinion went out. thankfully that was covered under warranty. now i have to repair the outer tie rods when i have less than 75,000 miles on the car. this repair is $500.00 on top of what i have to pay for the car payment and is not covered under warranty. the brakes recently had to be replaced (another $350.00) and i am also being presented with issues pertaining to the oil pan (which apparently is made of plastic). *tr

2005 chrysler 300 touring purchased on 11/4/2004 began making a loud moaning, straining noise when the air conditioning is turned on, the day after purchase. there is also a very noticeable vibrating sensation in the steering wheel and brake. during a/c use, the engine has an irregular idle to an almost stall when making turns during backing and forward movement of vehicle at very slow speeds such as backing out of a parking space. took it to dealer in san diego, ca and they said they did notice this strange, ongoing progressive condition but said they could do nothing about it because there had been no manufacturer recall. this condition is only getting worse. i thought my vehicle was the only one with this very annoying condition until i read an almost identical complaint from a consumer in mo. *nm

Dt: the consumer was driving in stop and go traffic at 50-55 mph and when applying brake pressure the brakes did not work whatsoever. there were no skid marks, the consumer did not feel the vehicle was slowing down. this resulted in an accident. the consumer's vehicle struck another vehicle from behind. the consumer believed the brakes never activated. this was the first and only incident with the brakes. no previous brake failures. the vehicle sustained moderate damage. the vehicle was towed to an authorized chrysler dealership and examined it. a factory representative came and inspected the vehicle. the representative found nothing wrong with the brakes. the dealer did not perform any repairs or corrections to the brakes. the consumer contacted chrysler, and they said they found no problems, and that the consumer could hire a lawyer. the consumer did not wish to hire a lawyer but only wanted his family to be safe in this vehicle. *ak
