Driving on curve on a busy highway, was unable to make slight turn until i forced steering wheel to turn. signal light some how jammed up steering. if it was my wife she would have been in an accident because i had to apply a lot of force to turn and doing so heard something snap in the steering column. steering is working now. but now signal light is not. i have to manually turn on/off signal each and every time. *tr

I have had numerous problems with my chrysler 300, which are becoming more costly and defeating the purpose of my purchasing a new car. first, i was subject to a recall regarding the transmission. next, the rack and pinion went out. thankfully that was covered under warranty. now i have to repair the outer tie rods when i have less than 75,000 miles on the car. this repair is $500.00 on top of what i have to pay for the car payment and is not covered under warranty. the brakes recently had to be replaced (another $350.00) and i am also being presented with issues pertaining to the oil pan (which apparently is made of plastic). *tr

I have a 2005 300c that i bought in april 2007, it only had 14425, miles, when i tested drove it, i notice that it was pulling to the right, i thought it was a low tire, and i was in love with the car from the time i saw it. as weeks went by and after placing air in all tires, the car continued to pull to the right. so i called the dealership and stated my problem, they asked me to come in. i told them the problem that i was having and they recommend a wheel alignment that i paid for. i drove it home and noticed that it was doing the same thing, pulling to the right, i called them and made another appointment, this time the said it was the tires, so i replaced the tires and put the goodyear assurance on it, and again paid for that. i took off again for home, and noticed the same problem. i turned the car around and went back to the dealer, and told them it was not fixed. they said to me that chrysler knows about the problem, after i have spent the money myself trying to repair a problem when i still have bumper to bumper cover, that when chrysler come out with a fix i would be notified. this is wrong, and chrysler should repair the problem, and give us back our money that we have spent in trying to repair something that they know about. *jb updated 11/26/07

Ever since i purchased my chrysler 300c in august or sept of 2004 it has pulled to the right. i have had the front end re-aligned on 3 separate occasions without success. the dealers always over-inflate the tires to 35 psi to mask the problem. *jb

I drive a chrysler 300c, when i purchased the car i felt the car veering to the right. well i had taken the car in to the dealer and i was told that i needed a wheel alignment and i also needed to have my wheel rotated. well i did that and still i had the same problem. so i took the car back and was told that i needed another wheel alignment and my wheels needed to be rotated i did all of that and i still have the same problem. i also have a problem with my horn not blowing when the car is not running. i find all of the above complaints to hazardous and dangerous to myself, family and friends. i am told by the dealer that there is no problem. i have tried calling the service manager for the last two days and have yet a receive a response. *jb

Dt: the contact stated heard clanking sound from the rear end. contacted the dealership, and they said the transmission was going out. after they fixed the transmission 2000 miles later it went out again. he asked the dealership for a new transmission. after the initial time of fixing the transmission they didn't clean the transmission with a lint free cloth so it caused the transmission to clog up, causing the vehicle to stall. the second time to repair the transmission the parts will not be available until november 2005. the brake light comes on intermittently. . a technical service bulletin was issued concerning steering. the vehicle pulls to the right, after being fixed it pulled to the left. t he talked to the dealership about the air bag light coming on. they put it on a machine. he was told that there was a sensor that had to be replaced. they had to get the parts off the assembly line because they didn't have the parts to fix this vehicle.*ak

2005 chrysler 300 touring purchased on 11/4/2004 began making a loud moaning, straining noise when the air conditioning is turned on, the day after purchase. there is also a very noticeable vibrating sensation in the steering wheel and brake. during a/c use, the engine has an irregular idle to an almost stall when making turns during backing and forward movement of vehicle at very slow speeds such as backing out of a parking space. took it to dealer in san diego, ca and they said they did notice this strange, ongoing progressive condition but said they could do nothing about it because there had been no manufacturer recall. this condition is only getting worse. i thought my vehicle was the only one with this very annoying condition until i read an almost identical complaint from a consumer in mo. *nm

The vehiclewas brought to freehold chrysler for service for the engine light coming on, not shifting properly, hesitation, left and right side molding coming off, trunk latch broken and car pulling to the right. freehold chrysler stated they could not duplicate the problems and found no codes and the wheel alignment was done at a cost to me of $95.00,molding and trunk latch was replaced. we then brought the car back again for pulling to the right about 1 week later and again the told us it was fixed.the vehicle was not pulling as much but still was. about 2 weeks later the car was red lining, not shifting and stalling on her. we brought the car to eatontown chrysler in which they found a transmission solenoid to be bad and replaced it. we then started to experience electrical problems such as rear window not working all the time and air bag light sometimes flashing on and off while driving and again hesitation when stating from stop. also the moon roof interior shade opens to about an inch after driving to vehicle for about a week. we contacted freehold chrysler about these problem and the previous wheel alignment and made an appointment for may 3, 2005. now its may 8th and we have approx. 20,000 on the vehicle and we are being told the wheel alignment was completed based on a service bulletin and at no cost to us, even though we paid $95.00 originally, and the rest of the problems cannot be duplicated and there's nothing else they could do. i contacted the chrysler corp. service center at 18009921997 and spoke to numerous people in reference to these problems and was told to take the car to another dealership and there's nothing else that they could do.

This vehicle (as i understand, this and may others) is experiencing a pull to right. it has been in the shop numerous times and has had the tsb (camb. bolt) performed 2 times. purchased this car in august and have had this problem right from the begining...now we are at the end of april and it is not fixed. we have had all tires replaced for wear (and have been told that this has nothing to do with alignment) this vehicle's production date is very early. apparently chrysler has since fixed the problem on newer 300's being produced....but can seem to fix the older ones. at this point i am questioning whether this can be repaired.*ak
