We have 5 chrysler 300's used for transporting our residents in and around our community 4 out of 5 of these vehicles have had the same issue. the cooling system fan blades come apart and the shrouds of the fan go thru the radiator causing immediate leakage of all coolant and destroying the radiator. as of date 4/30/12 chrysler/dodge has yet to recall this defect and is not covered under warranty. this is obviously a problem with this year, model and needs to recalled on the 300's and the dodge chargers. | |||

I received a letter back from the manufacture listing this car as a dodge magnum , although car is a chrysler 300 , it is at chrysler jeep eagle in west palm beach fla eric mizzotti is in the service department, i have been waiting over a week only to be stalled , and also the car was purchased new, at the time i purchased the car the sales man gave me a service book for a dodge charger and told me its the same thing, why come chrysler is having such a hard time with the vin on the vehicle. this is the 2nd tripp they made and then told me they was looking for the wrong car. the letter i received stated i told them i purchased the car used not so supposenly this car was new when i bought it. and has already had a slow start up and idle | |||

15 seconds after starting the car at 7h45 am the engine stopped with a big metallic noise. called chrysler assistance and 20 minutes after the towing are here and another 20 minutes late, the car arrives at the dealer garage. they called me afternoon and told me that the problem was the water pump blocked and causing the timing belt problem. they repalced the water pump and timing belt the same day under warranty | |||

My 2008 chrysler 300 has lost power in the middle of the road while driving at least 4 times. after the third incident, i took the car in, the service employees at the dealership told me there was nothing wrong. then it happened again. in all incidents, the ignition had to be turned to off, then on again to start. in the last instance, the rpm went way up to 4000 and stayed there even though speeding was not involved. we had to pull off the freeway and turn the car off, then on again. then it went back to normal. i took the car in again last week, and again, they said there was nothing wrong. luckily we have not been involved in accidents due to this happening. i just hope that the next time, which i'm sure there will be a next time, i don't get into an accident, especially with my kids in car. *tr | |||

Tl- the contact owns a 2008 chrysler 300. the contact stated that while waiting at a stop light, she heard a loud popping noise and then temperature gauge indicated that the vehicle was over heating. the contact mentioned that once she got out of the vehicle she realized that all of the radiator fluid drain out. the vehicle towed to a dealer who diagnosed that the electric power radiator cooling fan separated and puncture the radiator as a result both needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offered any assistance since the vehicle was not included on a voluntary recall. the vehicle was repaired. the failure mileage was 49,000 and the current mileage was 53,000. pm | |||

Odometer has 42,000.00 miles. car was running fine at 2,200 rpms (on highway, 70 mph with cruise control on) when out of no where i heard a faint knocking from the engine. before i could get off at the next exit the knock was extremely loud. before i could get home (3 miles) the engine seized. the oil was changed 700 miles ago and the oil level was full at the time of the incident. *cn |
