Chrysler 300 2009
Model 300 made in 2009 by Chrysler got 25 consumer complains there are 2 recalls as well as 10 service bulletins. Consumer complaints with reference, among others things, to air bags, communications and equipment. Technical service bulletines regarding engine and engine cooling, equipment and latches/locks/linkages. There were some recalls concerningtires, wheels. | Tl*the contact owns a 2009 chrysler 300. upon purchasing the vehicle, the contact heard a grinding noise coming from the steering wheel when turning in either direction. the dealer stated that the noise was normal and would disappear once the tires were broken in. the noise continued well over three months. the vehicle was taken to a different dealer and they stated that the rack and pinion steering was defective. they also stated that the part to repair the steering was unavailable. the dealer stated that they would call him once the part arrived and would assume liability. the contact was concerned about how the dealer allowed him to purchase a defective vehicle. the vehicle has not yet been repaired. in addition, the cd player would not play a complete disc. the failure mileage was 5 and current mileage was 1,800. | |||

| I have the automatic transmission and i notice that my matrix will roll backwards if i have a 2009 chrysler town & country touring with 1000 miles on it. if i am stopped on an incline, while in a forward gear (e.g. drive). if i take my foot off the brake, the car will roll backwards - like a car with a manual transmission would. is this normal behavior? i took it to a chrysler dealership and they stated that it was. *tr | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2009 chrysler 300c. the contact stated that while driving 25 mph the brakes locked . the vehicle was towed to the dealer who stated that the abs system and the computer module were defective and needed to be replaced. the failure recurred while driving on the highway and the brakes locked when they were not engaged. the vehicle was towed to the same dealer who confirmed that there was a foreign substance in the brake fluid. the manufacturer advised him to have the insurance company analyze the brake fluid. the results of the test were negative stating that there was no measurable petroleum or moisture present. the manufacturer decided to open its own investigation and stated that they would contact him to notified of him of the steps that were taken. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure and current mileage was 29,022. | |||

| While driving the vehicle the low tire pressure light came on, i checked and found my front tire looked low. i went to unscrew the valve cap and it kept turning, upon further inspection i found the metal valve stem was cracked and the schrader valve was only being held in by a burr from the cracked metal stem. at that point i was unable to put any air into the tire. the potential for the schrader to just blow out of the stem and cause instant deflation of the tire is why i am reporting this. the metal stems seem to be cheaply made. *tr | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2009 chrysler 300. while traveling 40 mph the accelerator pedal had suddenly fell to the floor of the vehicle, the brakes were applied and the vehicle was shifted into neutral gear. the contact pulled the accelerator pedal up from the floor of the vehicle and heard a popping sound. the contact resumed driving the vehicle and when the vehicle reached a speed of 60 mph the accelerator pedal fell to the floor of the vehicle and the vehicle had begun to accelerate. the contact had to pump the accelerator pedal excessively with his foot which caused the pedal to move into its normal position. the contact drove the vehicle to the dealer and was advised by an independent company that the failure was caused by the floor mats. the vin was not available. the approximate failure mileage was 15000 and the current mileage was 15000. | |||
