 My steering has a life of its own. steering pulls hard to the right, almost hit a public bus. i've had 2 alignments and brand new tires, the problem still exist. the front end make a clunking noise and vibrates really badly. i've taken it to a chrysler dealership and got the same response as other have with the same problem unable to duplicate the problem. i told them there is a problem. im afraid of losing my life an risking others on the streets and highway because of this serious issue the no one wants to fix. *tr

 Tl* the contact owns a 2000 chrysler 300m. the contact stated that the vehicle would not shift into park. in order to park the vehicle, the contact had to place the gear in neutral and apply the emergency brake. the vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. the approximate failure mileage was 180,000.

 Tl- the contact owns a 2000 chrysler 300m. while stopped the contact attempted park the vehicle but the gear would not shift into park. the contact had to place the gear in neutral and apply the emergency brake in order to park the vehicle. the contact stated there were no warning lights illuminated on the dash board. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnostics or repairs. the approximate failure mileage was 180,000. ds

 Several years of recurrent engine and transmission noise taken to the dealership for diagnosis with no success. at the fifth or sixth complaint, and when the warranty had expired, the passport chrysler dealer advised that i needed a new transmission for a 2000 chrysler 300m.*ak

 The transmission jerks from 40-46 mph, at slower speeds the transmission clunks from 1st to 2nd gear. *slc

 Shifting mechanism on 2000 chrysler 300m becomes difficult to move from park to other stick locations. mechanic says it is a cable linkage issue that is adjustable but should be done by qualified mechanic. failure would result in inability to shift car.

 I have a 2000 chrysler 300m, purchased september 2000. this particular model allows both an automatic or a manual shift (i've never used the manual shift). on the date in question, i went to put the car into gear, and the gear shift sheared off in my hand. whereas no one was injured in this particular incident, i do believe that had the car been in motion it could have caused serious injury or death. one does not expect in a 2-1/2 year old car for the gear shift to come off. i believe that this is a serious safety issue. ts

 Consumer left vehicle in park and ran to open gate, process would take approximately 1 minute. consumer's back was turned when vehicle started rolling forward. vehicle bumped consumer, but not enough to be injured. dealer checked for any problem, but found nothing.*ak *slc

 The transmission rattles/grumbles at the speed between 40-50. a torque converter lockup problem. took the car back to the dealer 3 times, this thursday will take it back again. april 7, 2000 dropped it off overnight and they said they changed the tcm computer, but the tech didn't feel the problem until i took him out and he noticed immnediately. said that it was like that on all 300m cars. took him on a new 300m with 5 miles on the odo and he coudln't notice it then. he then said it was the vehicle shifting into overdrive and rpm'ing low causing that rumble. told him that was hogwash and to fix it or i'll invoke the lemon law. so, this thursday will take it back for another service.
