Defect Summary | Sabersport is recalling 16,270 combination corner and bumper lamp assemblies of various part numbers sold for use as aftermarket equipment for various passenger vehicles. these headlamps fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment. these lamps do not contain the required amber side reflectors. | |||||||||||||||

The head lights displayed poor visibility. *jb there appeared to be a flaw in the design of the vehicle that presented a safety hazard. the front bumper was so low that there was an area of complete darkness on the road between the two headlights when driven at night. the vehicle had been taken to the dealer on several occasions and they stated it was a design problem. *scc *jb |
