 Tl- the contact owns a 2002 chrysler 300 m. the contact stated that he heard an abnormal noise coming from the frontal part of the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis. the dealer stated they had to replace the left side transmission shift outer bearing. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact was awaiting a return call from the manufacturer. the failure and the current mileage was 73,600. kmj

 Transmission shifter cable malfunction,tranny stuck in auto shift mode.no warning light on but shifter free shifts cannot put in park.turned car off will not start, the word done pops up on dash.researched online same problems with other 300m model years from 1999 to 2004.

 Dt*: the contact stated while slowing down to 15 mph, the transmission shifted into first gear and would not shift out of that gear. a clunking noise was heard and the vehicle would not accelerate over 20 mph. it was driven to the dealer who determined the transmission needed to be rebuilt and a repair kit needed to be added.

 There is rust inside the trunk lid and the rear passenger doors, causing the doors and trunk lid not to latch properly. *ak consumer noted it wasn't the rust but a defect from the manufacturer which causes the door not to close. the paint was chipping and peeling. there were , two different color white finishes. the shifter cable broke and was repaired. *ph

 This car has now been serviced 3 times for a recurring transmission leak. one of which was so severe that the car had to be towed to the dealer for repair. they occurred on 4/25/03, 4/30/03 and 10/03/03. *la

 The car has on the latest being, the fourth occasion noted being able to go into drive or reverse. there seems to be a recurring leak in the transmission system.*ak

 Tl* the contact owns a 2002 chrysler 300 m. the contact stated that the vehicle shut off without warning while driving between 1-15 mph. the failure occurred a year ago during the winter. the steering and power brakes became difficult to maneuver, and the engine lost power. the failure caused the contacts vehicle to cross into oncoming traffic. the last repair was performed in october 2006. since the repair no failures occurred until recently. while driving 15 mph down hill the contact depressed the accelerator pedal and nothing happened. the instrument panel lights illuminated and the vehicle shut off. he then shifted into neutral and restarted the vehicle. the contact stated that the vehicle always restarted. the vehicle was taken to hoffman automotive and was awaiting a diagnostic. the dealer kept the vehicle four to five times for the same failure and installed a co-pilot on it to monitor the engine functions. the current mileage is 43,100, and failure mileage was 35,000.*ak the consumer provided copies of the invoices of the repairs. updated 05/23/07 *tr

 Automatic transmission torque converter defective at 41,944 miles under extended warranty warning light came on first time and dealer could not find problem. light came back on 50 miles after car was returned. repaired by dealer with no hassle. very good service power outlet in interior console cracked and fell into console not covered under warranty . part should have not cracked. is this due to heat? *jb
