The repairing chrysler dealer says repairs will cost approx. $1200.00. he is going to be talking to the chrysler rep.,but does not think she will do anything about the problem, from a co. standpoint. does a consumer have to replace transmissions every 27 - 29,000 miles of service. i would like to know if this is a big problem with chrysler products. i know several people who have had transmission problems with their chrysler autos..
While driving at high speed the transmission caught fire. dealer is checking vehicle. *ak

While driving, vehicle came to a complete stop, consumer restarted the engine and proceeded to put the car in drive, however it only drifted backwards, a mechanic stated that chrysler uses plastic sensors to hold on the transmission case, these sensors became cracked due to poor quality material, which resulted in a transmission leak, the mechanic had to replace them with the same plastic sensors, consumer is concerned that this will occur again. *slc *dt
