I own a 2005 chrysler crossfire conv. the back window became unglued and is falling out,i cant drive the car and it is not possible to put the top down. the only fix i'm aware of is to order a new top from chrysler at the tune of 2500 dollars. it's a major problem and they should recall this and repair at no charge. this car was expensive and obviously i will no longer buy a chrysler product because they will not fix their problem. *tr

Have a 2005 chrysler crossfire convertible and the back window came apart from the canvas. vehicle only has 27,000 miles on it. contacted chrysler and they say it is not a defect but from other complaints i have seen this is happening often in the crossfire convertible. told by the dealership that this would be goodwill by them since i was only 13 days out of warranty when this happened, but they are not returning my phone calls. *tr

The chrome trim on the backside of my 2005 chrysler crossfire interior door pull is peeling and becoming very sharp. this occurs on both driver and passenger doors. i recently sliced my finger open while closing the driver's door. there is a tsb out to fix this issue, but since my car is out of warranty chrysler will do nothing. this is a safety concern. *tr

The consumer had difficulty down shifting his 2005 chrysler crossfire in the snow. *jb including when the vehicle was placed in reverse, the vehicle would not move. the dealer told the consumer the vehicle was designed to be driven in the snow. it was considered a high performance vehicle, it was low to the ground, rear wheel drive. the tires were also high performance and the tread pattern was no good for the snow and/or lots of rain. *sc *jb

The rear glass of my 2005 chrysler crossfire convertable detached from the top and fell out suddenly at 65 mph. the only thing that saved it from causing possible injuries was the rear glass heater wiring. the car is garaged and only driven maybe one day a week. *tr

When traveling down the highway i noticed that the glass rear window on my convertible 2005 chrysler crossfire roadster had become partially ( only 6 inches where attached at top of glass ) unattached from the canvas top and was hitting against the body when i would hit a bump. when i got home i did an internet search about how to fix it, and found that this is a common problem with the crossfire rear window of this model year. i called the dealer at that time and they said it was not covered. i had the window glued back but it has sense delaminated again. now i see chrysler may have been planning this fix for some time? *tr

The door pull handle on the interior of the crossfire are sheathed in thin metal with a seam on the back side facing the door panel. this seam has separated (become exposed) and when closing the door, sliced my middle finger very deeply, causing a great deal of pain and bleeding.

The car is a 2005 chrysler srt-6 roadster. the rear window (glass) has delaminated from the cloth top and came loose while driving down the interstate. the only thing that kept the glass from coming out of the car was the spade connectors connecting to the defroster. if this had fallen out and hit a vehicle following me or flew forward striking the driver or passenger could have resulted in an accident or major injuries.

I have a 2005 chrysler crossfire. my car was parked in my garage and when i went out into the garage in the afternoon on april 2, 2010 i noticed the rear window in my convertible top was partially dislodged from the roof fabric. i called the chrysler dealer where i purchased it immediately and was told by their service dept. that it was a common problem and that it would cost $2,200 plus tax to replace the entire roof. the bottom line is that the adhesive holding the window to the convertible top is defective resulting in it coming unglued. i purchased the 7-70000 maximum care extended warranty for $2,226 at the time of purchase of the vehicle. my chrysler dealer has told me that this problem is not covered by the warranty. there is no where in the warranty that says this is not covered. i have written to chrysler corp. at 27777 inkster road farmington hills, mi 48334, the director of damlier chrysler service warranties, p. o. box 2700, troy, michigan 48007-2700 and florida dept. of insurance service warranties, 200 e. gaines st., tallahassee, florida 32399 and have not heard a word from anyone. i have 19,000 miles on my vehicle and it is continuously garaged. for the past 3 weeks i have not been able to drive my car because of this problem. since chrysler is aware of this problem so much to say that it is a common problem why are they not making good for it? and since i can not find a mention of this problem in the extended warranty, why isn't it covered. i would be glad to send you a copy of the warranty, just request and i will send. *tr
