Car wouldn't start several times since purchase. the battery was fully charged, took it to a chrysler dealer who cleaned up some grounds. the lights, stereo, etc worked but the motor didn't even make a sound when trying to start. one time when it did start i was making a turn when the car completely died...i didn't realize it at first because the heater, radio, panel were all lit up and working. i was very lucky to be able to make it safely to the side of the road. had to have the car towed back to the garage. when they started working on it, the panel behind the glove box started smoking. i now have a very nice, useless little car with only 50,000 miles on it because #chrysler can't fix it for me.

The adhesive fastening the rear window to the convertible top let go and the glass has fallen in to the vehicle.

I parked my car at a shop's parking lot and didn't have any issues. about 20 minutes later i came back to my car and tried to get the engine to turn over and the ignition would not turn. i tried with both of my keys and i couldn't get the ignition to turn. the steering wheel also was locked up. i had to take apart my dash board to get to the ignition so i could release the locking pin. once the pin was released i had no problems starting the car.

When travelling down the road i noticed that the glass rear window on my convertible 2005 chrysler crossfire roadster had become partially unnatached from the canvas top and was hitting against the body when i would hit a bump. when i got home i did an internet search about how to fix it, and found that this is a common problem with the crossfire rear window of this model year and although chrysler admits the problem they are only fixing/covering the repair based on the vin #. if i would have known this i would have bought a solstice or s2000. i can't afford a new top which is their only solution of course at my own expense. i took it to several shops to see if they would re-glue it for me. the top is mint except for the loose window. c'mon chrysler man up and fix this for every owner not just some of them!

The door pull handle on the interior of the crossfire are sheathed in thin metal with a seam on the back side facing the door panel. this seam has separated (become exposed) and when closing the door, sliced my middle finger very deeply, causing a great deal of pain and bleeding.

My convertable top is in excellent condition except for the fact that the rear window is falling out and i am being told that i have to replace my whole top in order to replace the window because of the poor design. this is now a safety issue as the rear window is about to fall off and no way to repair it without total replacement of the convertable top which is very pricey and because of the poor design will have to be replaced in another 5-6 years.

As i was pulling out of my parking space after work, the rear window of my convertible fell into the passenger compartment of the car. scared the hell out of me. fortunately i wasn't going very quickly or i might have lost control of the car. got the car home and looked the issue up on the internet and was surprised to find that apparently this is a common problem with this car, chrysler knows about it, but will not do anything about the problem. their answer is to install a new roof at $3,800. i consider this a safety issue because a piece of glass coming loose like that in a moving vehicle can cause a real problem.

I own a 2005 chrysler crossfire convertible. it has 27434 miles on it. the back glass window came unglued and partially fell into the rear deck. it cannot be repaired with additional glue. the remainder of the top is in excellent shape. it is now costing me $2850.00 for a new top. clearly, this is a design flaw and safety hazard. a recall is in order.
