The rear glass of my 2005 chrysler crossfire convertable detached from the top and fell out suddenly at 65 mph. the only thing that saved it from causing possible injuries was the rear glass heater wiring. the car is garaged and only driven maybe one day a week. *tr

The back window has separated from the convertible top and has fallen out due to faulty glue. i have done a lot of research showing that hundreds of owners are having this same problem. chrysler is unwilling to help any of us. they need to be forced to issue a recall and repair these problems because of their faulty manufacturing.

Glue on back glass has separated on one third of glass. if it continues ,the glass could fall out. if this were to happen while applying brakes, i don't want to think of the consequences.

I have a 2005 chrysler crossfire that i purchased 1 year ago and the rear window has came apart from the convertable top fabric. the tops are on backorder at chrysler and i have only found one shop in california that has a replacement, but i have to have the full top frame removed and shipped to them for replacement. the top alone is 3k. in the interim my expensive car sits in the garage collecting dust. truely not acceptable.

I own a 2005 chrysler crossfire conv. the back window became unglued and is falling out,i cant drive the car and it is not possible to put the top down. the only fix i'm aware of is to order a new top from chrysler at the tune of 2500 dollars. it's a major problem and they should recall this and repair at no charge. this car was expensive and obviously i will no longer buy a chrysler product because they will not fix their problem. *tr

The rear window of my 2005 chrysler crossfire has come unglued. the car has been garage kept and has about 10,000 miles. i purchased an extended warranty however, i am told that it is not covered. this is a manufacturer fault. i am told that this is a common problem and the only repair advise given was to have the top sent back to chrysler at my expense to have the reglue. i was quoted in the thousands to have this done. what makes them think doing the same process again will now work? *tr

Back windshield fell out of car. the company has had a problem with this from all the information i can get on it. the car only has 40,000 miles on it. never have i had a car to lose back windshield. i'm on a waiting list for a new top (this can't be repair...has to be replaced) since july. the estimated time to get it in is oct. 29, 2009. this is a defect that should be recalled. i'm just lucky i wasn't driving when it popped out. *tr

2005 crossfire convertible, always garaged. back window glass released from top. warranty will nto cover even though dealership states known issue. if this had happened while driving could have caused serious injury. replacement cost is $2200+ as all repair shops stated same diags...cannot simply glue back in as will only last a few months at most. all shops also stated they see this on a continuous basis. there are literally hundreds of these complaints of this same issue on the web. *tr

The rear window came unglued from the convertible top on my 2005 chrysler crossfire. car stays in the garage when not driving and is well maintains with no accidents. chrysler said it was not a defect and is not covered in their extended warranty which i was told was bumper to bumper at the time of sale. they will not repair the glass and said i have to replace the top for over $3,000.

Add me to the list as many others have a problem with the 2005 chrysler crossfire convertible rear glass falling out of the car because of poor workmanship. it was glued in with no other support and the glass just came loose sitting in the carport.this seems to be a major problem with this model car. i have been in touch with chrysler service department and they refuse to do anything about this problem. it presents a safety hazard and i am registering a formal complaint to atleast have this investigated for its potential danger.

I have a 2005 chrysler crossfire that i have owned for five months. about two weeks ago the rear window fell out of my convertable. from what i have found out this seems to be a continuing problem with this years model. have not seen any info about any other crossfire models after 2005 with this problem. maybe they realized that there was a problem and fixed it from 2006 on up? called to see if my extended service contract covers this, was told no it was a trim issue ? my insurance will help cover the cost to replace but that does'nt seem fair to them, the cars not wrecked.looks like two grand aprox. to replace the top, ( probley with a 2006 or newer top ! )

I own a 2005 chrysler crossfire convertible. the rear window fell out for no apparent reason. this is a major safety issue and should be recalled by chrysler. if widow came out during a crash, the gl;ass window could seriously injure the driver or passenger. a flying sheet of glass. chrysler should be held accountable to fix this defect. there are numerous complaints on line about this. the other thing is the cost of repair. this can only be fixed by replacing the entire top for $2,000. this is rediculos. there should be a class action suit on this issue. i guess chrysler will wait for someone to lose their life before taking action. buy american, what a joke!!!

When traveling down the highway i noticed that the glass rear window on my convertible 2005 chrysler crossfire roadster had become partially ( only 6 inches where attached at top of glass ) unattached from the canvas top and was hitting against the body when i would hit a bump. when i got home i did an internet search about how to fix it, and found that this is a common problem with the crossfire rear window of this model year. i called the dealer at that time and they said it was not covered. i had the window glued back but it has sense delaminated again. now i see chrysler may have been planning this fix for some time? *tr
