Defective cylinder heads - rocker arm support tower failure on two vehicles. 1990 dodge dynasty w/3.3 engine and 1992 chrysler new yorker/fifth avenue w/3.3 engine. both vehicles had the exact same failure mode wherin the rocker arm support tower (cast as part of cylinder head) failed by detaching from the casting body of the cylinder head. this resulted in severe valve lash necessitating the complete replacement of both cylinder heads. both owners of the these vehicles are middle-aged and use conservative drive practices. additionally, both vehicles were well maintained prior to failure. *ak | |||
