| I had to replace my abs pump-motor assembly 2 times in the past 2 years. the first time was by maff motors/tamaqua chrysler dealer; invoice dated 10 july 06. abs lamps on & brake pedal is hard; diagnosis pump/motor failure. mileage 106587 second time problem started approx 11 march 08 low brake fluid, abs & brake lights came on; mileage 150,351; i added approx 9 oz brake fluid & all lights went off. 22-25 march 2008 firestone/hazleton invoice #123975 , mileage 150,103, thoroughly checked for brake leaks as per my request, during routine annual inspection; they even added dye to check for leaks & kept my vehicle overnight. approx 28 may08, i tried to scheduled appt. at all american jeep/tamaqua new chrysler dealer (maff motors closed) they scheduled me for july 15; 1 1/2 months wait!! i continued adding brake fluid to my master cylinder everytime the low brake fluid light came on. firestone inspected for brake fluid leaks again, 5-6 june 08, mileage 155,507; no leaks. i contacted all american jeep/chrysler by phone & in person early-mid june 08 but was unable to move appointment because people on vacation, etc.. as time went by i had to keep adding brake fluid more often, until finally all the brake, low brake fluid, abs lights stayed on; luckily i coasted into lehighton chrysler kia, without brakes, on 8 july 2008; for emergency repairs. mileage 157,035. abs pump motor was replaced; plus they had to fabricate a missing firewall retaining bracket for this abs pump motor. invoice 135553. i've requested assistance with danielle yurko, service dept. as to recall coverage, for reimbursement; she informed me that i no longer have any chrysler warranty: even though i gave her a copy of nhtsa campaign id number 96v099000! my interpretation of that recall is that the abs pump & motor assembly is warranted forever/lifetime; no matter the vehicle's age, mileage, or owners plus all previous abs repairs would be reimbursed v/r john f. leibenguth *tr | |||
