The right side frame member, where the lower control arm attaches broke away causing the tire and strut assembly to go into the fender, and pulled the cv joint apart at the transmission rendering the car undrivable, and unmovable. i was backing out of a parking space with the wheel turned to the left in the rain when i heard a loud bang and the car came to a stop, while banging continued. then i turned the car off, and took a look, and saw that the right front tire into the fender and the bottom sticking way out. it could not be towed on a standard wheel kift tow truck.

I' have had 4 transmission in this vehicle. in each case the trasmission has had a torque converteer failure leaving the vehicle whti two gears, first and reverse. the last failure happened in the interstate at highway speeds. the transmission failed and the vehicle would not go over 30 mph. i have heard that this type of incident has happened to thousands of chrysler owners with 1993-1999 vehicles equiped with this transmission.
