This vehicle has suffered through a wide variety of problems as outlined from online complaint boards.today has started sudden accelation while stopped at traffic lights almost taking me into traffic your investigation on these are closed but i never had satisfaction speaking to chrysler officails and was informed by my dealer a couple of years ago that the vehicle was made by the ;old; company and the new company does not honor problems.what is disturbing is that a close inspection by me has revealed that the wiring harness going to the control computer was routed under the drivers side flexible motor mount and the harness has been damaged by the mount compressing this harness right on top of a bolt on the frame causing fraying of several control wires .the poor design has indeed created most of the problems with the vehicle and could cause wrecks and perhaps even deaths.chrysler has informed me they do not accept suggestions from the public but for the safety of the citizens still driving these vehicles,i see a lot on the road, please contact them as to this problem which while not covered under their warranty should be as this flaw only shows up with milage.the wiring harness has not been priced by me yet but if past experience is the guide chrysler parts are significantly higher than competitors, even if the last 'genuine' part had product of south korea right on the box.the problem is poor design

On oct 20,2006 my third (emission failure) has happened to my chrysler pacifica 2004 fwd model (48,535 miles). this model had problems in the past-most have been corrected. the first was engine stalling, which was repaired with updated software. the next was my a/c control/hvac unit which would not light, noise from bushings was replaced. flickering of dash lights time to time is an issue-the current major problem is that it will not pass emissions on three occasions it has failed next visit will be to the dealer on oct 30,2006- nys inspector/mechanic has told me that the pc in albany in nys may not read all codes all places show -oxygen sensor and cat sensor as being down and not ready on the print report-third mechanic thinks it is under warranty which si should be and that it may be the ecm or bus section of the module-this is based on a scan test and a obd2 system. failures = 3 nys inspection fails -4th will be at the dealership-consequences hoping to get it repaired as soon as possible. *nm

My 2004 pacifica was one of the first manufactured. it has had a recall already on the fuel line. the ac works sporadically. the ac panel blacks out and the unit ceases to work. it leaks into the front passenger's floor. it has a flaw in the design and collects leaves in the ac filter which costs 78.00 to clean. and to think i traded a new cadillac for this vehicle because i thought i would be safer.... *la
