 Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chrysler pacifica. while stopped at a traffic stop, the contact noticed there was increase in engine rpm readings. as the contact accelerated from the stop, the accelerator pedal became stuck in open throttle. the pedal returned to normal after a few seconds. the vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostics where the technician advised that the front motor mount would have to be replaced. the failure recurred three times. the vehicle was repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 34,000.

 Tried to stop at a red light from 45 mph. car slowed to about 5 mph but would not stop. reapplied brakes, engine accelerated (foot not on accelerator) pulled out of gear, into neutral, engine went into screaming acceleration re-engaged in drive, engine calmed down. episode repeated later that same night. car returned next day when rental office was open. *tr
