 Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chrysler pacifica. while driving 20 mph, the computer caused the transmission to shift into overdrive. the vehicle accelerated at a higher speed and then shifted to its normal operating speed. the contact does not recall the speed of the vehicle when it accelerated. on october 22, 2007, the vehicle was diagnosed by the dealer for three weeks and they were able to duplicate the failure. the dealer and manufacturer stated that they were aware of the failure; however, they could not repair the vehicle because no remedies were available. they also stated that they had no knowledge of when a remedy would be available. the failure occurred three days after the vehicle was purchased and continues to intermittently occur daily. the contact filed complaint number 168 954 09 on october 31, 2007 and november 9, 2007 with the manufacturer. the failure mileage was 65 and current mileage was 1,000.
