| Tl*the contact owns a 2002 chrysler pt cruiser. the vehicle has cooper tires, size at205/55/r16 (na). while driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle vibrated moderately and the front driver's side tire blew out. the vehicle was towed to a local rest stop and the tire was replaced. the manufacturer stated that the dot number was excluded from nhtsa campaign id number 08t029000 (tires:tread/belt). the cause of the failure has not yet been determined. the failure and current mileages were 20,000. | |||

| Was driving along and the transmission went out at about 35,598.00 miles . the brakes make a god awful noise i have had them checked they say nothing is wrong but i don't believe them the brain box went out the same time as the tranmission. the dashboard on top has cracked for no reason the car is garage kept it pulls to the right for no reason they say and it has started making rattling noises from the passenger side the trunk lid shocks are given out and the car just turned to 40,000.00 miles i think they make them to break at a certain tine and no one will do anything about theses problems i think my next car might be a toyota at least they don't fall apart so easy because i baby this car like its the only one i will ever own if chrysler wanted to do the right thing they would take this lemon back and give me a new one free of charge and i would do the chrysler adversement all over it for them as long as it looks good . because i have no money for another new automobile have a family to take care of and im not allowed to work anymore this would be a great thin tanks for listening. *tr | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2002 chrysler pt cruiser. he noticed the left front tire pressure was low due to a split in the middle of the tire. the current and failure mileages were 8,429. | |||

| Goodyear tire model p205/50r17 eagle rsa. tire kept going flat and when examined there was a circular crack around the tread, almost like a retread would separate, car would not pass inspection until tires replaced. tires came with car as an option. *jb | |||

| Dt*: the contact stated while driving the vehicle there is a chemical smell which gave contact headaches and an occasional sore throat. the dealership inspected the vehicle and determined there was not a defect in the vehicle. *ak the front end of the vehicle was out of alignment. there was excessive wind noise when the windows were rolled up. the speakers made a loud noise. the rear seat backing was replaced. updated 07/25/06. *jb | |||

| 2002 chrysler pt cruiser with chrome plated 5-spoke wheels; chrome plating has bubbled/corroded on the sealing surface of the tire bead. this has caused slow leakage of air in tires. unless the pressure is adjusted weekly or more often, the tire pressure gets low causing excessive wear and overheating which could lead to catastropic failure. this condition progresses over time and exposure to road caustics & salt.*ak | |||

| Dt: consumer states: has problems with the rims that are chrome plated and deteriorating. also, the valve stems are deteriorating. goodyear claims gm is having an issue with chrome plated rims. it is causing the valve stems just to malfunction. dealer has done one rim replacement under warranty, said it was a courtesy .*ak stems were leaking from corrosion of rim after rim replacement. *ak goodyear 59tbswas touring 205/55r16 89t. *tt | |||
| Consumer called complaining about having a problem with the tires. also stated that the first week that she bought the vehicle she had to take it back for service because her left front tire was low and at the dealer they plug the tire and now she is having the same problem again. dealer was contacted and dealer and they add a plug into it and consumer has not taking the vehicle again. vehicle carriers original equipment. please add manufacture name, model and tire size. ts | |||
