With no warning and no apparent cause, the rear driver side quarter window detached from the car while driving on the interstate. since i was unaware of what exactly happened at the time (i just heard a noise and felt some wind) i did not stop and am unaware of what if any property damage may have occurred to other cars as a result. closer examination shows that the glass separated from the bolts that held it to the car. it looks like there is a recall for this problem on later pt cruiser models (07v149000), but that does not apply to 2002 models.
