Defect Summary | Equipment description: aftermarket running board kits installed on minivans. a jack adapter sold in some of these running board kits can create an unstable vehicle condition when it is used with the jack to raise the vehicle. | |||||||||||||||
Consequence Summary | The vehicle could fall off the jack increasing the risk of personal injury to persons working on the vehicle. | |||||||||||||||
Corrective Summary | Dealers will remove the adapter from the jack package and install four permanent jack locator/extension pads. | |||||||||||||||
