My 2008 chrysler convertible cloth top has been at the dealership service department for 3 weeks as of today. the trunk lid won't go down. the towing company would not even tow it because it would damage the car further. called chrysler and they said they had several complaints and that they were tooling the top. *tr

I have a 2008 chrysler sebring convertible limited with a cloth top. the top mechanism is defective as i just had to have the top repaired for the third time. it seems that each time one or another mechanism has failed. this is very unsafe as the top usually fails half way up and has to be towed in. i have been told that this is a frequent defect on these new cars. *tr

Tl-the contact owns a 2008 chrysler sebring convertible hardtop. the folding hardtop leaks and was out of alignment due to the constant in and out of the trunk compartment. the vehicle was taken to the dealer nineteen times and they cannot repair the leakage from the top. the dealer tried duplicating the leakage by creating water coming from the water hose and running over the top of the vehicle. the manufacturer was contacted and informed her that the vehicle was not qualified for the lemon law and there are no recalls. she also did not receive a favorably answer. the failure mileage was 14,200....mw

The convertible top would stop half way in the process of going down. we found that in the trunk there is a small plastic piece at the end of the compartment hinge that cradles the top was missing. we were able to buy a bolt metal piece similar to plastic and use weld glue to adhere it. secondly, that problem caused the plastic flap that is under the window in the interior to break which needed to be replaced and third, the interior roof panels came unglued exposing all the components that works the convertible top. we had to reglue and repair panel. *tr
