EXTERIOR LIGHTING - HEADLIGHTS

The headlights on my 1998 chrysler, town & country are frosted over due to exposure to the elements and are becoming more opaque with time. the headlight quality and quantity is diminishing and making it difficult to see while driving at night. this is a cause for concern for night driving safety. the headlights are an assembly and not made up of replaceable components. each headlight assembly costs near $300.00 i feel this is a design and manufacturers defect that should be addressed by the auto manufacturer with a free replacement. *tr

I have 1998 chrysler town & country lxi which i bought brand new in february 1998. the problem i have is that the lenses covering both headlights are faded and hazy from age and/or elements and i have significant reduction of nightime vision because the road and surroundings are not illuminated well. i would not consider this normal wear and tear and would like to manufacturer to replace them (talked to the dealer last week and was told that they cost about $150 per. napa told me today they were $239 perform them.) both need to be replaced. would appreciate any help. *nm

Headlight lenses fogged to the point that they won't pass inspection. visibility is very limited. replacement cost is outrageous since the headlight itself works and only the lens is bad. cannot just replace the lens. complete ripoff by chrysler to the tune of over $400.00 per headlight.

Headlights have progressively been getting more etched or fogged, considerably reducing visibility. high beam light intensity is less than my other cars' low beam intensity. this is a safety hazard because of reduced visibility at night. it appears the durability of the plastic surface is not sufficient to withstand routine exposure to weather. no accident to date. *jb
