My 2005 chrysler town & country has had the headlights fail several times. high beams worked by holding them in the on position, if i tried to turn them on they would go out. after flipping the switch a number of times i got the lights back on. we just lost lights again last night and were able to get them on after flipping the switch a number of times.

It first started by failing to turn on after a few times of trying to turn on the lights on the dash. it then progressed by turning off while driving in the city. it worked for a few months without incident until 2 months ago. after a cold start the lights would come on but after driving it to the store about 3-4 miles away and restarting the car it has failed repeatedly. i believe this to be a serious safety issue. i've had to drive home by manually holding the high beams on to get home. there was almost an accident due to this problem.

I purchased a pair of rain x 28 latitude wipers for a 2005 chrysler town & country minivan in november of 2008 from walmart at the cost of $18.97 each. i had been pleased with their performance. on the 8th of july when i turned the window washer on during a severe rainstorm, the passenger side wiper flew off. the pre installed connector came out and i could not find it. i do not know whether it just popped out or was broken or not. i stopped at the walmart store where it was purchased in east tawas, michigan to see if there was either a guarantee or some way i could get another connector. i was told by the auto dept. manager on duty that there was no guarantee and that the wiper should be replaced every 6 months anyway and there was no way to get another connector without purchasing a new wiper. i consider this a safety hazard. if it happened to the drivers side wiper and a car or some other obstacle was in my path there is a good chance i would not have seen it and a serious accident could have occurred. the minivan was driven less than 3000 miles since the new blades were installed. the car is always garaged. i have been driving cars for 58 years and have never had a wiper fly off. i believe that there had to be a defect in this wiper. the wiper on the drivers side works fine showing no signs of wear. *tr

While driving on the interstate in january 2009 the heater blower fan suddenly went to full blast and full heat. ii was not able to turn it off or down. after exiting the interstate and parking the mini van, i turned the engine off for a minute and after restarting everything was normal. later that same morning the heater again went to full blast with no input from me. i took the vehicle into the dealer and after 30 minutes, the service manager said it was fixed for now but told me i needed a new temperature control module; he would have to order one at $750.00, i replied that i'd think about it. during the next few weeks the problem occurred again and after turning the engine off everything seemed to work ok. sometimes the problem would go away on its own. it was not until the weather began to warm that i discovered i have no a/c, although the freon level appeared to be ok. i called autozone to inquire about a replacement part and they informed me that chrysler had not released the part for the aftermarket but they could order a used part for $209.00. the replacement part would carry a 3 year warranty. i ordered the part which was delivered a few days later. it took less than 30 minutes to replace the unit and everything is now like new. *tr

I drove to work @ 8:30 am and parked my car between two other cars. within an hour my rear side vent window blew out. the little tiny glass pieces blew over 20 feet onto other cars. i did call the police thinking it very unusual. the officer thought it was very strange not to have much glass in the vehicle. the officer assured me that it had not been broken into. i called the chrysler dealer that i had purchased the car from. they had me tape up the window with plastic and drive to the glass repair shop. i was lucky that the car dealer footed the bill. this in my opinion was no accident. the window simply blew out. luckily, i had dropped all the children off at school that morning.  Taking off from a stop light on a flat road the rear vent window of my 2005 chrysler town and country, which was closed at the time, just fell out. it hit the ground and shattered all over. there were no injuries and no additional property damage, besides the damage to the van from the window colliding with it. *nm
