Tl-the contact owns a 2009 chrysler town and country. while parked with the rear lift gate open the button on the interior was engaged to automatically close the lift gate. the lift gate was not closing quickly enough so he tried to manually close it. while pulling the lift gate downwards it began to involuntarily open until heavy force was used. since the failure he can now hear noises coming from the lift gate when it opens or closes. an authorized dealer was notified and he was informed he would have to pay to have the lift gate repaired. it was not repaired. the failure and current mileage was 14,000. sm.
