I was cleaning my windshield on the van when the engine suddenly started (within the closed garage). apparently the automatic-start function was triggered when the key-fob remote in my pants pocket was inadvertently activated when i leaned against the car. this is very scary! if i had been leaning against something inside the house, would my car have been running all night in a closed garage attached to my house?. i have often accidentally triggered other functions (such as door opening, door lock, etc.) when working around the house, but automatically starting the engine is especially troubling! i believe there should be a separate interlock safety button located on the side of the remote key fob so an accidental engine start would be much less likely. *tr

Electronic vehicle information center (evic) displays incorrect mpg, about 10-11% higher than actual mpg when filling tank and computing by calculator. says 27 mpg, when only 24 mpg is measured when pumping gas. evic also randomly resets it self to 18 mpg when engine is turned off. tsb 08-012-12 is reported to correct this condition. *tr

My car has a push button electronic key sensing start system. i parked my car, radio running, took my key from car, locked car. car keeps running indefinately even though key is not in proximity to ignition. if a driver takes his keys from the car and car is in park, i think vehicle should shut down after an appropriate time delay such as 15minutes. if a person drives his car into a closed attached garage, leaves the car with the key but does not push the off button...the car will run until out of gas. this is a potential hazard to people in house as exhaust fumes will build up in closed garage. chrysler can program the electronics to stop the engine after 15 min, if key has left proximity of ignition, and car is in park.

My wife and i bought the van at a real good price or so we thought ... she woke up this morning to goto work after taking our son to daycare... she stopped at a convienent store after dropping him off and turned the van off. when she came back out and tried to crank it , the van did nothing... the interior lights were on and so was the radio.. thought it was the battery but come to find out the dealership that we bought it from said it was the power module and that it was aroubnd five to eight hundred dollars to fix.. we have only had the van for less than three months and it just seems unfair that this could happen that soon.
