| I had an accident at 45 mph, and the air bags did not deploy. chrysler is saying there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. *nm phone intervew update (oct 25, 05): verified that there were no fatalities. t-boned another vehicle at the rear quarter panel at 45 mph and none of the air bag deployed. | |||

| Purchased 2005 chrysler town and country mini van..with less then 800 miles airbag lite kept coming on off and on.sometime staying on for long periods of time..took to dealer and dealer stated a clock spring in steering wheel was bad,they said parts were on order and van was ok to drive,, i said will airbags work if i am in an accident,, dealer said prob not,,after a little arguing i got a loaner car, vehicle is still at the dealer. *ak | |||

| Upon merging back onto the highway consumer over corrected the steering wheel. to rectify this problem the consumer depressed the brake pedal and turned into the skid. the brakes locked up and the truck crashed into a mountain head on, then rolled over twice. none of the trucks air bags deployed upon impact. the truck sustained severe frontal damage and the windows busted out, except for the front windshield, and the driver and passenger side window. the driver didn't sustain any injuries. the cause of the brakes locking up and the non deployment of the air bag has yet to be determined.*ak | |||

| Dt: the consumer's vehicle was involved in a crash at 55 mph. the vehicle is a 2005 chrysler town and country. upon impact, the airbags in the front of the van did not deploy. the point of impact was the front end of the van. the van was hit almost head on. neither of the front doors of the vehicle would open. the doors had to be pried open to get the passengers out. the driver and the passenger sustained injuries to the neck, ribs, sternum ,and the collar bone. both drivers were wearing seat belts. the consumer have not contacted chrysler as of now. there were police and ambulances involved. police and insurance reports were taken. the consumer has pictures available to view. the van was totaled, and the it was only a month old with less than 1,500 miles.*ak phone interview update (oct 24, 2005): the air bag warning light was not on before the crash. she agreed to send pictures with the follow-up voq form. updated 11-02-05. *jb | |||

| The consumer had taken his eyes off of the road due to a distraction and accidentally hit a stopped vehicle that was in front of him. the seat belt did not hold and the air bag(s) did not deploy. the consumer was injured in the crash. *tc *jb phone interview update (oct 24, 2005): the accident occurred on an exit ramp, so the vehicle speed was probably too low for the air bag to deploy. there was no warning light on the dash prior to the crash. | |||

| Consumer was involved in a collision while driving at 30 mph. upon impact, airbags deployed. after the collision. consumer tried to unbuckle safety belt it loosened, but would not unbuckle. consumer had to cut the safety belt. when airbags deployed, the knee blocker failed to work. instead it pushed out the plastic panel located on steering column. this resulted in injuring consumer's legs. when passenger side airbag deployed buckle on safety belt came apart.*ak | |||

| I read in an article that you have had reports of failures in air bag sensors in the 2005 town and country. i have had to have mine replaced twice in less then a year. *jb | |||

| Dt: thecontact owns a 2005 town and country chrysler touring van. she h had to replace an air bag sensor four times. the first one was replaced in januar 2005. the dealer thinks these are just bad sensors. the air bag light comes on, sometimes it will go off when the car is turned off. but after the car is started back it will come back on. then it just stays on continuously. the contact has not yet spoken to the manufacturer. the cost of the sensors being replaced has been covered under the warranty.*ak | |||

| Dt: the contact stated that the air bag light on the dashboard came on and went off intermittently. dealer said they could not find what the problem was. manufacturer has not been contacted yet. *ak updated 11/15/2005 - the manufacturer suggested replacing the wiring harness and control module. . *nm | |||

| Air bag indicator dash light has gone on three times last date of indicent was may 28, 2005. i have taken to the dealer every time to have numerous part replaced, such as the dashboard sensor and the seat belt harness. | |||

| The srs light appeared on the dashboard and remained on while driving. driver took vehicleto the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the sensor needed to be replaced. *ak phone interview update (oct 26, 2005): mrs. finn said that the dealer told her that the sensor is near the front bumper. they did the repair under warranty and did not provide a repair invoice. | |||
