| The consumer had taken his eyes off of the road due to a distraction and accidentally hit a stopped vehicle that was in front of him. the seat belt did not hold and the air bag(s) did not deploy. the consumer was injured in the crash. *tc *jb phone interview update (oct 24, 2005): the accident occurred on an exit ramp, so the vehicle speed was probably too low for the air bag to deploy. there was no warning light on the dash prior to the crash. | |||

| 2005 chrysler town & country. front passenger seat belt did not have the mounting bolt installed to the floor. only thing holding belt was sensor wire and the fact that the belt was trapped between door panel and seat when door was closed. inspection of belt and bracket indicated a bolt had never been installed. mileage at time of discovery was approx. 2700 miles. vin # 2c4gp54l25r177674. *la | |||

| I purchases a 2005 chrysler town and country minivan. i made a hard stop using firm brake pedal pressure. my sleeping son was allowed to fall forward in his booster seat because the seat belt did not catch. in every other car manufactured in the modern world, it take very little force to make the seat belts catch regardless of whether the brakes are applied or not. in the t&c, it takes a tremendous force to cause the 2nd and 3rd row seat belts to catch (brake not applied). the front seat belts catch instantly with little force. the servicing dealership confirmed that the front seat belts and the 2nd/3rd row seat belts are of different design. chrysler was unresponsive.*ak | |||

| Consumer was involved in a collision while driving at 30 mph. upon impact, airbags deployed. after the collision. consumer tried to unbuckle safety belt it loosened, but would not unbuckle. consumer had to cut the safety belt. when airbags deployed, the knee blocker failed to work. instead it pushed out the plastic panel located on steering column. this resulted in injuring consumer's legs. when passenger side airbag deployed buckle on safety belt came apart.*ak | |||

| Air bag indicator dash light has gone on three times last date of indicent was may 28, 2005. i have taken to the dealer every time to have numerous part replaced, such as the dashboard sensor and the seat belt harness. | |||
