My 2010 town and country suddenly stalled while driving on main st. . coasted to a stop blocking the lane since i couldn't even pull over. vehicle had power, but would not move. called wrecker, but eventually able to restart car and drive it (after several attempts). police provided traffic control until car was moved. fortunately no one was directly behind me when the car stopped. internet search revealed that chrysler is initiating a recall for this problem. called them and they said the recall is by vin and my vin is not recalled. they refused to let me talk to someone who could check further. i told them my survivors would sue their pants off when the car dies again and i am killed, but of course, i am afraid to drive the stupid thing.

Purchased a used 2010 chrysler town & country march 19,2011..on the second day march 20, 2011 with 17823 miles the car shut off while driving. at that time wasnt sure what was happening. it occurred 2 more times in the next week. still unsure what was happening. then on april 5 it occured again while making a right hand turn. we then realized it was actually shutting off in drive. when it happens everything shuts off (losing power steering etc) making it very difficult to pull over and restart vehicle. we took it to the dealer the next day and they were unable to duplicate the problem and there was no dtcs occuring. left it at dealer another day and still no duplication. have had car back for two more days with dealer and still no duplication. so at this point they are unable to do anything for us. the part that is failing we believe is the win module. it is very scary and dangerous. it appears that a recall may be coming out but not sure if it will include our vehicle. spoke with chrysler many times and they can not confirm that also they agreed that there is nothing they can do. will not provide loaner or rental car because of no duplication of problem at dealers. we are very concerned and not sure what to do. just don't drive very much.

We have a 2010 chrysler t & c purchased new on sept 30 from the local chrysler dealer. it now has less than 2000 miles on the odometer. last thursday evening, dec 23rd, the battery was totally discharged after setting in the garage about 24 hours. none of the remote buttons were effective, the door had to be manually unlocked with the emergency key, and key placed in the ignition switch would do nothing and could not be removed. i tried to contact the dealer next morning, dec 24, but found it was closed then and for the next two days. i could not get the car started by jump start and could not get the battery recharged while connected. finally, i managed to get the battery charged while disconnected. upon entering the car to start it,prior to inserting the key into the ignition switch, i noticed the heater blower in the second seat area was running. i checked the blower control knob and found it was turned on. i turned the knob to off and back on again. the fan stopped and did not come on back on. the car started normally with no subsequent problems. on monday, 27th, i took the van the dealer who could not diagnose or fix the problem. the problem was also reported to chrysler costomer service. no response has been received. now we have a brand new van that we cannot trust with an apparent computer and/software glitch the dealer cannot diagnose or fix. what should i do now? until this problem is diagnosed and fixed we are hesitant to drive the vehicle. just about every function, including brakes, accelerator, steering, lights, heating, cooling, gear shift, are computer controlled. toyota's problems with accelerator and brakes come to mind. the contact requested that the personal information previous entered by him be deleted from the compliant.vf

On two occasions this year, my chrysler town & country minivan stalled and lost all power after turning at an intersection. i was able to stop safely and restart car. all lights went out, all power. each time i turned a 90degree right-hand turn, the quick left-hand lane change. first time happened in august 2010, then december 2010.
