I am contacting you in referrence to my chrysler town & country. we bought this new oct. 2008. we have this van in atleast seven times for the sliding doors. the problem is when you close the doors with the power shut the door starts to close but when it gets to where it starts to latch it will click two or three times and re-open you then have to manually open the door all the way to reset the door and at times you do not know if the door has shut. my wife actually had one door open while she was moving! we contacted chrysler on 3/26/2010 i was told at this time since the vehicle was already at the dealer ship for the problem at hand and since we were so close to warranty expireing to leave it there and i was given a case # 19426494 and told a case manager would call either that day or for sure the next day and i never heard back from them. i contacted the dealer (sleepy hollow chrysler/dodge) 1-877-899-4023 and told this of the situation. i did then receive a voice message from william whom is the case manager with chrysler on 3/29/2010 i then called back and was told he was buisy and would call back and again no call back. i called back again on 4/01/2010 and again got no call. i called again on 4/05/2010 and spoke with a don and he confirmed this was an active case # and was concerned since it was so old and nothing had been done with this, he indicated he would forward the info to william and he would contact me and it is now the second day 4/06/2010 and still no call. this is why i am contacting you! this is a safety issue but since they can not get a code or it to reproduce when the dealer has it they do not know what to fix however one dealer did get a code and replaced a faulty latch but it still malfunctions. my wife after leaving the dealer ship could not open the door at all and she did finally get it to open. this a issue we would like resolved and i feel i have given chrysler ample time to fix this! we wanted to try and keep this between us and chrysle

The automatic sliding door of my 2008 town and country chrysler mini van closed on the fingers of my 4 year old child while he was sitting, strapped into his booster seat. i did not realize until i opened the drivers side door and was then able to open the sliding door to release his fingers. *tr

Following a front end deer strike on the highway, our auto body shop completed the repairs to this auto - a 2008 chrysler town and country. our concern after we struck the deer was that the hood flew up blinding us as we attempted to get to the side of the road. i originally felt that the hood lock must have failed. the auto body shop said that the issue was that the upper tie bar broke free. this in turn [in ways that i don't completely understand] took the hood lock with it. the radiator support also was involved somehow in this failure. apparently, while the hood lock was metal, some of these other pieces are plastic and could not withstand the front end impact without failing. i believe that this is tremendously dangerous and that the manufacturers should be aware that, while the airbags functioned properly, we could have died because of the loss of vision caused by the hood. i notified chrysler but they said that since the vehicle has been repaired, there is nothing that they will do about this. *tr

Keyless remote (peanut) would not open vehicle; needed to use 'emergency key' to access vehicle; was able to start vehicle with peanut key. changed battery, still does not function properly. within one week, second keyless remote had same problem. dealer repaired one peanut and ordered one new peanut. within 2 hours of repair remote has same problem, again. returned to dealership, got new remote that had been ordered, and another new remote was ordered. at this time we are waiting for second new remote. service manager has treated us very well and compensated us, at least partially, for well over 500 miles of trips to/from dealership. *tr
