During a recent family vacation, we loaded our 2008 chrysler town and country for the first time with a lot of luggage. the third row has power folding seats with the wider side having a car seat and the smaller side unoccupied. while trying to retrieve items from the rear during a rest stop, the luggage shifted and activated the power folding seat. thankfully, the seat my child was in didn?t fold because of the car seat. the other seat proceeded to fold and crush everything on it. three more times we accidentally enabled this when the luggage shifted and the car seat and luggage had to be completely removed each time to allow the seats to go back. there should be a trap door over these buttons or a lockout switch to prevent this from happening! not only is it very dangerous but also very frustrating. we have to always make sure now that we don't load up anything on the left side of our van and it's only a matter of time before a child is injured by a seat accidentally being folded. *tr

2008 chrysler town & country touring van, bought in january of 2008. since i bought the van the radio had to be replaced twice, the dvd player and monitors had to be replace, and the back shock or strut leaked all the fluid out on my garage floor. the sliding doors both operate when they want, they will start to close and then just reopen, if you try to close they don't want to, the back hatch has done the same thing. the driver's window had to be fix twice because it wouldn't open or close and they told me it was the sound barrier that had fallen off of the door and it need to be reattached. the drivers seat has a broken track on it and all of this has been happening since 190 miles and on, now have 10089 miles on the van and still having problems with the sliding doors. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2008 chrysler town & country. the contact noticed that there were no overloads or safety stops for the power folding rear seat. he was concerned that if a child were to sit in the seat and use the power option, they may be injured due to the lack of safety stops on the seat. the mounting brackets on the seat were dented because the motors were holding up the seat. the contact planned to speak with the dealer when he was there for a routine oil change. the manufacturer has not been notified. the current and failure mileages were approximately 7,000.
