Tl*the contact owns a 1994 chrysler vision. in 2003, chrysler issued a voluntary recall for the seat assembly. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer and they claimed to have inspected the recall. on october 28, 2008, while driving 65 mph, the front driver's seat bracket failed and caused the backrest to fall backwards. she pulled over and returned the seat to the proper position. the contact took the vehicle back to the dealer and they stated that the failure was not due to the recall, but rather wear and tear. a report was filed with the manufacturer and they investigated the failure. the manufacturer's investigation confirmed that the failure was not caused by the recall. the failure was due to the age of the vehicle; therefore, they would not assist with the repair. the vehicle has not been repaired. the current and failure mileages were 70,165.
