| I bought this vehicle in 8-03, secondhand from a dealership in ny. in the last 2 weeks, i have had trouble with the transmission losing power and starting to lose fluid. in route to a dr's appt. with my pregnant daughter and her 5 yr. old the trans. started to slip and lunge forward. i stopped the vehicle and checked the trans. was empty of fluid after 20 miles from home. added 4 qts. of fluid only to go another 10 miles and the trans. was doing it again. to the garage only to find out the trans. casing was blown out and no fluid. mechanic told me this was a very common problem with this trans. to no avail, no trans. to be found in ny state. to get another trans it is going to cost me $1500-$2000. i will not buy another chrysler voyager. i will do better homework next time. *nm | |||

| I was driving 35 mph when the engine made a loud noise. it acted like it was in neutral, and would not go anywhere,it then jumped forward and seemed to be fine, then it did it again and would not move. i had it towed over by aaa to hall the next day.they informed me that the transmission was gone at 50,800 miles and the warrenty only covered 3/36,000 mile. i was less than three years since i purchased the van. they had to replace the transmission. i followed the b schedule of service and had the transmission fluid and filter change at 46,000 miles. the schedule b in my owners mannual says 48,000 miles. the services manager says that it should be changed at 36,000 miles. | |||

| Vehicle shifted into reverse by it self after idling in park for about 30 seconds, it rolled back causing the driver's door (which was open) to hit the bumper of a parked car thus damaging the door and the left front fender.*ak i personally saw and heard the moment the vehicle shifted into reverse, i was about 20 feet away from the vehicle when i saw the back up lights come on and the vehicle start to roll back. | |||

| I have a two year old that put this car into drive while i was putting my four yr old in his car seat. i would have never bought this vehicle had i known that this vehicle could go into gear without having your foot on the brake. i now ask everyone who drives one of these vans if they knew that they could do that - they are as amazed as i am that this is allowed. this is an accident waiting to happen. i am enraged at their nonchalant attitude concerning this - there should be warnings on the vehicle. i even called the dealer to see if it was supposed to be like that. his response was well you just have to make sure the emergency brake is on at all times - thanks for not telling me that when i purchased the car.*ak | |||
