My husband was installing my son's car seat. when he grabbed the shaft of the seat belt (the part attached to the floor), it came completely out. apparently the metal part that is attached to the seat is completely gone. the dealership is telling me i'm responsible for buying a new seat because my warranty is expired. *jb

I would like to have the generation 3 seat belts recalled in the chrysler cars and vans as the latches protrude and may be unsafe. *nlm

I own a 2000 chrysler mini van and on two occasions the seat belt have released while i was still parked in my driveway. on both occasions i was reaching over to get something from the passenger seat and the buckle came undone. i thought i had not secured it properly because my arm hit the lock on the seat belt. now i find out today that i may have hit the buckle but it should not have popped open as there is a defect in the seat belt. even thought it is a 2000 model i do not have the gen 4 type of belts in the front. the van must have been manufactured in the late 1999. *nlm

Rear seat belts do not catch (stop letting out belt) when brake applied. this is an issue caught as part of a massachusetts mandatory yearly inspection which cause the vehicle to fail. chrysler dealership has indicated it can be fixed for a charge of at least $82. *nm
