The transmission goes into gear without depressing the brake. the guide plates had damaging spots. *tc the brakes had excessive clearance and damaged the trailing edge. the vehicle would be in operation at a stop on a slight incline, the gear was in drive, with the foot removed from the brake and the vehicle would roll backwards; (the same for reverse), the lens covers on the vehicle have yellowed and or had become opaque. in re: 2000 chrysler voyager and a 1998 plymouth grand voyager *sc *jb | |||

While the consumer initiated a right turn at a stop light the vehicle suddenly went to full throttle and would not respond to the brakes. two avoid oncoming traffic the driver steered the vehicle into a gas station driveway and hit three yellow barricade post which tore off the right front wheel. then the vehicle hit chain link fence which stopped it. the engine continued to race therefore the consumer had the battery disconnected which stopped the engine. the consumer stated that neither of the frontal air bags deployed. the occupants sustained fractured ribs, a punctures lung, bruised knee and bruised chest. *ak *cb *nlm | |||

Vehicle was in drive when it slipped into neutral. also, when making a right turn, the gear shifts back to drive, and one mile later lurched forward while stopped. dealer was unable to duplicate the problem. *ak *yh |
