Defect Summary | On certain class c mini-motor homes built on 2003 chevrolet chassis, the chassis fuel return line, which is tapped to supply fuel to the generator, has been found to have pressures that exceed the maximum allowed by the generator manufacturer.
Consequence Summary | As a result, if the generator is operated at the same time the chassis engine is running, excess fuel could be delivered to the generator, creating a potential for a generator stall and possible fuel spill. in the event of a fuel spill, a fire could occur.
Corrective Summary | Dealers will install an approved kit that draws the generator fuel supply directly from the fuel tank. owner notification is began march 24, 2003. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact coachmen at 1-800-453-6064.

SEAT BELTS | |||

Several times a seatbelt recall notice was sent to me for my chevy van (coachman motorhome) and twice i've sent it back stating that the dealership that they listed for the repair refused to fix it. the service manager of the listed establishment tells me that i need to take it to a dealership that is an hour away. that would be a 2 hour round trip plus it would cost an additional $40 dollars for the gas it takes to get there and back. the recall keeps coming back with the same dealership listed with no other response. can someone let us know how to get this problem fixed before we take our trip to canada in july without having to take it so far for the replacement. we live only 15 minutes away from south milwaukee and was wondering if there is somewhere in that area that could perform the replacement.
