Defect SummaryOn certain class c mini-motor homes, the 12 volt slideroom wire connection to the chassis ignition system may be wired incorrectly causing the brake on the slideroom motor to disengage when the ignition is in the 'on' or 'run' position. this could cause the slideroom to 'relax' and possibly move to the out position while in transit if the travel locks provided with the vehicle are not installed as recommended.
Consequence SummaryShould the slideroom extend while the vehicle is in motion, a crash could occur.

 Tl-the contact owns a 2008 coachman freedom express 31 motor home. the slideroom on the right side of the motor home released by itself causing it to extend while the vehicle was in motion. there was a recall nhtsa#07v539000, component: electrical system: wiring. he took his vehicle in for the recall previously and it was repaired by the dealer but the parts has failed again. he contacted the dealer and informed them of the second failure and was told to bring the vehicle in and they would trade it for another vehicle but he was contacted back stating they changed their minds. the contact stated he does not know how to get the vehicle to the dealer because he feels it is unsafe to drive. the manufacturer was called and he was waiting on a return call. the failure mileage was 8,
