Consequence SummaryIf undetected, the hose could burn through and result in a lp gas fire.

Consequence SummaryThe inadequacy of the front and rear side marker lights could affect visibility of the motor home during hours of darkness that could potentially result in a motor vehicle crash.
Corrective SummaryDealers will replace the marker lights on the side as close as reasonable to the front and rear corners and wired into the park light system free of charge. the recall began on march 19, 2008. owners may contact country coach at 1-800-547-8015.

Defect SummaryOn certain motor homes equipped with an independent front suspension (ifs) gen ii built by holland usa, the gear plate support gussets were removed. this can allow the plate to flex during a static steer condition.
Consequence SummaryThe flexing may result in stress cracking which could potentially cause a loss of vehicle steering control which could result in a vehicle crash.
Corrective SummaryHolland usa is conducting the owner notification and remedy for this campaign. a bolt-on strengthening of the steering gear plate with u-bolts connecting the cross member to each side of the gear plate at the rear plus a tube support in the front with j-bolts to the gear plate will be installed. owners should contact holland usa customer service at 1-888-396-6501 for information and instructions for where customers can take their vehicles to have the repairs done free of charge.

Defect SummaryHolland independent front suspensions p/n 90547917 ifs-114 with the 90547978 subframe for use on certain country coach vehicles and shipped between march 5, 2003, and june 28, 2004. early ifs-114 units with p/n 90546687 used a different subframe, p/n 90546691 that is not affected by this recall. the new subframe did not have gussets that help support the steering gear mounting plate. the lack of gussets allows excessive flexing of the steering gear mounting plate which may lead to fatigue cracks.
Consequence SummaryIf a crack were to develop and propagate to the point where the steering gear mounting plate were to separate from the suspension subframe, then steering can become loose with possible loss of steering control. a vehicle crash could occur, possibly resulting in personal injury or even death.
Corrective SummaryHolland will notify country coach's customers and provide remedy free of charge. owner notification began july 28, 2004. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact holland usa customer service at 1-888-396-6501.

DIGITAL INSTRUMENT PANEL

Unable to see dashboard display/warning lights in daytime. have complained since january 2005. all country coach inspire models 2005-2006,2007 have same problem. have been told a fix is being worked on, but to date nothing. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 country coach inspire. the contact stated that all the lights on the instrument panel illuminated. the failure has occurred ever since the vehicle was purchased. the dealer initially stated that they would repair the vehicle for free, but have since changed their mind. the contact has found several complaints for this failure on the same year, make, and model as his vehicle. the vin, engine size, and number of cylinders were unknown. the failure mileage was 1,000 and current mileage was 19,000.
ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
05/11/2009390001
While traveling to alaska in our 2005 country coach inspire we had a transmission oil cooler failure which caused the engine coolant to drain into the transmission and causing it to fail. we had to be towed 100 miles to a repair facility in coburg, or, where the found that besides the oil cooler, the charge air cooler and the chelsea pto were also defective and had to be replaced. the pto on our unit drives both the fan and the power steering. it is the same unit presently on recall for the cc magna and infinity models. the replacement for the defective pto which was a dry spline is a wet unit so that spline failure will not occur in the future. if the defective pto had not been found at this time. the splines would have failed completely resulting in the loss of power steering which could be fatal. the defective unit is at pacific power products, coburg, or. our unit only has 39,000 miles on it at this time. it is my understanding that chelsea advised cc that these units only had a life of 30,000 miles but they chose to ignore this and failed to advise owners of the potential for failure. *tr
