I purchased the vehicle in 2009 it previously had two owners. ive had minor repairs done already. however, i was curious to know why the vehicle was recalled. as i looked into it i found that im having problems with the engine sensor which i had repaired 2 months ago because the check engine came on but i keep smelling a burning smell and visible smoke.

Camshaft position sensor needs to be replaced for second time. i had to get the camshaft position sensor replaced at my cost. second time it burnt one of the fuses out. i am unable to pay another time for this recall. contacted daewoo at the number placed on your website. they told me to contact dealership. dealership refused to do recall work unless i paid for labor and part first and then contact daewoo for reimbursement. i cannot get my tags which i already paid for because car will not pass smog. dmv gave me one extension already. tried to order part from several different auto parts stores. they stated this part is on back order and could take anywhere from two weeks to two years. quality motor shop stated camshaft position sensor was a recall item. what good is nhtsa if you do not enforce dealerships or company to honor recall work? *tr

I have a 2000 daewoo nubira with 71,000 miles on it. the timing belt broke, and now i also need a valve job. the owner manual states to change this at 72,000 miles and when i contacted the manufacture they stated that the warranty is for 5 years or 60,000 miles. i feel that the manufacture has complicity in making good on the cost of repair, as there manual then must be misleading or should have stated to be replaced at 60,000 miles or less. *la
