| There aren't any events that led up to the failure. i took my vehicle in for a routine check and was informed of the problem then. the front control arms on my vehicle are worn. i have gone through 3 sets of tires while trying to locate the part to fit my vehicle. my car swerves after reaching a speed of 30 mph. i am unable to drive my car on wet roads because i am not able to control the extreme sliding that occurs. i have contacted over 50 dealerships in my area and outside of my area and have not been able to locate this particular part. parts for my car are very hard to find and very costly. *ak | |||

| 2000 daewoo nubira front suspension. failure of front control arm bushing causes severe oversteering understeering and torque steering. this condition is more pronounced during winter driving and and conditions such as highway on ramps where to car will rapidly change direction. this is a very severe saftey problem the lower control arm bushing allows the control arm to shift when acceleration ar decelerating causing the torque steer. from review of the complaints this has been a reaccuring problem without injuries and should be the manufacturers responsability to correct. *ak | |||

| Daewoo nubira wagon cdx . multiple brake problems. had rotors turned 3 times before warranty ran out. have replaced rotors and pads. i was informed by a mechanic that there is no adusting the back break callipers. meaning the back brakes don't work. brake petal goes to the floor. slides at every stop.abs has multiple teeth broke. dealer refused to fix under warranty. control arms bad. serp belt bad.tires all replaced. i only have 32,000 miles on car. can't get collision insurance at fair price. | |||

| When the consumer turned the key in the ignition, the vehicle accelerated without the gas pedal being depressed. *jb the front brakes were noisy and were found corroded, a loud noise was coming from the a/c, the cup holder was inoperative, the tech found the fog lamp was inoperative, the trunk was inoperative, the tire was wearing uneven, both front control arms were noisy, there was an electrical wiring problem, the cam belt had broken and there was possible cylinder head damage, the vehicle would not start due to the timing belt which broke and caused the valves to bend. *sc the consumer stated the rear brakes were noisy, there was a loud noise coming from the air condition, the fog lamp was inoperative, the hub cap was replaced, the trunk latch was replaced, the left and right control arms were replaced. *jb | |||

| First my airconditioning went out smoking then my brakes which went bad the second time i called they fixed them and didnt turn my rotors .i payed them over ahundred dollers tofix i,ve been told my brakes will go bad again becuse the rotors have big grooves in them. now my control arm is going bad i told them months ago and they (they meaning borgman ford mazda in g.r.mi )keep telling me they will get them in this week . this week never comes.*ak | |||

| No events leading to failure. noticed odd steering around march 2004. car pulls to left on acceleration, once car shifts, pulls hard to right. brought to local mechanic in august 2004 after almost hitting a semi. they said control arms/bushings need to be replaced. they found the problem after driving the car less than a mile. they tried to order parts, found they were dealer only parts, prepay only, no returns. local mechanic would not service the car. took it to dealer i bought it from. charged me $50 for diagnositc, even though i told them what was wrong with it. ordered parts on 8/12/04. dealer said it was safe for me to drive, tire will not fall off or anything. recommended no one else to drive it though. car is not safe to drive. unpredictable. the problem is getting worse. i noticed multiple complaints about this same thing. i'm not sure on the status of the parts. i just want it fixed & my car back to normal.*ak | |||

| Known nubira 2000 problem. both lower control arms are defective and bushings shot (design flaw). symptoms of problem include squeak and sludgy shiftiness when turning (not good for wntr driving) along with 2 ruined tires. 19k on car. warranty expired last month and there's no recourse even though problem existed before that. tires wear very fast and i was driving an unsafe car.*ak | |||

| On 7/26/04 while travelling at approximately 35 mph, vehicle suddenly died. the timing belt went, damaging valves and cylinder head. fortunately, vehicle had 57,000 miles and was under warranty. however, the front control arms/bushings/ sway bar were also bad. unfortunately, these were not covered by warranty. items were replaced. now it seems the oil pump is going, oil is leaking and there is low pressure along with catalytic converter going. dealer says these items will be covered.*ak | |||
