| Defect Summary | On certain motor homes built on workhorse chassis and equipped with gm 8.1l v8 engines, improper hardening during the heat treatment process can cause the fuel rail pulse damper retainer clip to fracture, resulting in inadequate retention of the damper. if the damper becomes loose, fuel could be pumped by the fuel pump into the under hood area. | |||||||||||||||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2004 damon daybreak. the vehicle has a dometic refrigerator, model rm2852, serial number 34403300. the contact received a safety recall notice for nhtsa campaign id number 07v130000 (equipment:recreational vehicle) and took the dometic in for repair. when she returned home that same day, the dometic would not turn on at all. the repair shop that made the repair stated that they were not responsible because they only inserted two screws. the contact attempted to reach dometic, but was not able to get past the answering service. the vin and failure mileages were unknown. | |||
