| Defect Summary | Tmc is recalling certain model year 2004-2011 damon and four winds recreational vehicles equipped with 1200-series norcold refrigerators. the population of refrigerators being addressed contains either a sensing algorithm or thermal switch to shut off power to the refrigerator when high temperatures are detected in order to prevent a potential fire. the response times of the sensor algorithm and thermal switch devices to stop power are not sufficient. | |||||||||||||||

| Defect Summary | Damon is recalling 179 my 2008 astoria, tuscany,essence, and my 2008-2009 astoria pacific motor home chassis equipped with saf-holland adl series rear suspensions. in some instances the transverse beam was not properly welded which could result in a failure of the weld. | |||||||||||||||
| Consequence Summary | If the weld fails, vehicle stability while cornering could be affected resulting in loss of vehicle control, possibly resulting in a crash. in addition, the transverse beam could drop to the ground causing sparks that could cause a fire hazard. | |||||||||||||||

| Purchased motor home 8-27-08. reported problem with windshield wiper to dealer 9-19-08. no repairs offered. windshield wiper motor stopped in snow, sleet & rain while on trip to new england over thanksgiving holiday. roadside assistance said not covered. brakes would not stop us without delay. attempted repairs at freightliner dealer in md and damon dealer in mass. brake drums were rusted due to sitting for long period at dealership. freightliner will not cover under warranty. unable to get wipers repaired until returned to original dealer who kept it 2 weeks until repairing on 12-23-08, at which time rv was returned to us with a dead battery. brake drums and shoes replaced at our expense on 1-5-09 ($1,600.00). *tr | |||
