Lost transmission in normal drive on a flat road , would not shift into any gear , had the vehicle towed to the dealer and they changed the filter and transmission fluid with no further investigation into the root cause of the problem. if this had happened in traffic it may have been the cause of an accident as the vehicle lost all forward motion instantly

The van would jerk badly when put into drive and when sitting at a red light or stop sign it would begin to lurch forward requiring me to press hard on the brakes.after 8 days in the dealership and numerous calls from the service rep.saying that they keep finding more problems with the transmission.after i got it home i noticed that the invoice showed that one of the parts that had been replaced was the torque convertor and that it had been replaced with a remanufactured one.this van had only 3762 miles on it when the original transmission failed.how safe will it be for me to drive my small grandchildren around in a new vehicle with a rebuilt transmission when the original transmission failed with only 3700 miles on it.the customer service rep. advised me that the she would contact the regional rep. to meet with me .it has been three days and no one has contacted me yet. no onerhrgrnufactured acedinbn. *ak
